Locked out !

Actually got locked out this morning.
Even though I left keys on seat, it locked when I hit inside button.
Exited car, and it stayed locked. No beeping warning.
Anyone else experience this ?

Leave my keys in all the time. After a certain period of time it locks itself for safety, assuming you forgot your keys but still want your car. I use the door pillar keypad to get back in.
Rereading that, you hit the door lock button on the inside? Did you not expect it to be locked?

There are two ways that I know of to lock your key fob in the car. One way is how you did it. The other is to press and hold the lower two numbers on the door pillar keypad after the door is closed.

But I get it.
I keep all my passwords and codes in a password keeper app on my phone. I’m not great a remembering things I don’t use all the time. So I have the door codes to my car, my truck, and the wife’s car in there just in case.
