Longest wait times?

Did you order through a dealer or on the Ford website? I ordered on the website and it says "order in progress" at the top, which makes me wonder if my dealer processed my order correctly (I had to select a dealer even though I placed the order online).

I ordered through a dealer, but I worry if they processed my order correctly too. They told me 4-6 months tops, guess I was naïve and believed them. I never got an order number or anything like that to view it's status online, just waiting around for emails/calling the dealer and no one getting back to me.

It should look something like this for a long time. I don't think "#2 place order" completes until production is scheduled.

Thanks. Good to know. That is what mine looks like. Seems odd that they would show Placing the order as "in progress", but it sounds like that is how it works.

Correct as I've seen it. It's kind of strangely worded... my understanding is "Place Order" is done when your dealer accepts it but the Ford visualization of it is that this step is not done until your order is assigned a build week. Once a build week is scheduled, "Place Order" has been completed... Not intuitive in my opinion.

Interesting aside, my order never showed the dealer selling price above Order Status. It has always been under it's own "Pricing Summary" section in the middle of the expandable sections below Order Details. I've also noticed a few other discrepancies from comments I've read, e.g., some claiming their price changed to show a -$325 less on the order page from Active Park Prep Kit yet mine still shows the original (my most recent order preview from the dealer shows the price change).

? I wonder where this variation comes into play.

I am on day 323. My GTPE has been in Kansas City since 5/10. There are multiple others on this site who have already hit the 1 year mark. Many of us that ordered in spring/summer last year were royally screwed after a January chip hold seems to have pushed us to the back of the line while identical configs ordered 4 months later shipped immediately after being built and ours sat in a parking lot in Mexico. Ford's prioritization methodology is a sh!t-show. Ford has generated some serious bad will with a lot of us.

I feel your pain. We ordered June 3, 2021. FINALLY picked up last week (May 17, 2022).
My now-retired mechanic regrets not advising us to order two, one to keep and one to sell at a crazy high price!

This is why you shouldn’t take tax fraud advice from your mechanic. ?

250 days. Same model as you. No production date either (last time I called). I can’t see online updates since my order converted from ‘21 to ‘22 - just shows “order cancelled” online but both dealer and Ford assure me order is still active)

They were totally making that up. That’s what mine said too. I told them “see you in a year” and they laughed. At this point, I’ll be lucky if it’s a year.

Ordered a Premium AWD SR end of Oct. 2021, car finally arrived at the Toronto rail yard on Sunday. I assume it will be delivered to the dealer this week.

50 weeks, 4 days (354 days for those mathematically challenged).

Note that some count reservation time, which isn't comparable. If they were producing, then it is comparable.

I am at 284 days and counting. I ordered in August of 2021, and was told by Ford it would be delivered by the end of January. I absolutely needed it by March for family reasons. It was finally built in April and is stuck in shipping somewhere. We've been juggling cars and carpooling for months. This has been the worst car purchasing experience I've ever had.

Due to the delays, they've removed the acoustic glass, foot sensor for the trunk, and the active park feature. They discontinued the color I ordered, and chose a different color for me. They've increased the price by $3k over that time. It will still be a nice car, but more and more feels like a bait-and-switch from what I test drove.

The only reason we are still purchasing it is because we've waited this long and there's not another great electric option. Hopefully there will be joy after it arrives and I drive it, but I've still got to go through the dealer hard-sale purchase process.
