I wasn't implying that the tow company isn't liable, the question is who needs to get the money from them, the car owner or the Ford dealer who contracted them? Sounds like many are saying it's the car owner. Going back to the example provided above, if you bring your car to the dealer for the glass recall, and they contract out to a glass specialist who damages the car, are you saying the car owner has to go after the glass company? This seems analogous.Because the tow company isn’t “under their watch.”
It’s an independent contractor.
Again, this is an “insurance liability question.”
