Got a call yesterday morning that my grabber blue Mach drop had arrived 10 days early (early from its new date after missing the initial date). Picked it up in the evening and went through a horrible four hour experience. The dealer tried to cheat/squeeze us of thousands of dollars. I went in knowing exactly all the prices and percentages and yet they still lied to my face and tried to use altered “official” Ford documents to prove it. At first I was shown the official Ford Options program that was 6.9% with no additional incentives. Then they said the California clean air rebate was the incentive. Numerous back and forth until they finally agreed to 2.25% with $2500 incentive. Then they tacked on nearly $3900 for maintenance (that includes oil changes) and some interior/exterior protection (which they claimed as already installed). It was a nightmare and my blood was boiling. Finally in the end they released their grips and we signed the papers. They will get their commission and I was happy with the final numbers.
The car is even more amazing in person. It’s so comfortable and the drive experience is stunning. I’m a happy camper.
In the short few drives I’ve made, I’ve been stopped multiple times by people asking about it and I had a neighbor I never spoke to come and ask a million questions. The grabber blue seems to really turn some heads.
Oh and if you have a trade in, call Carvana!! They offered me $12,600 for my 2014 BMW i3 (I was hoping for $10k) and the dealer only offered me $5k.
