I'm trying to understand how MME alarm sensors work. I recently left my dogs in the car for a few seconds and the alarm went on. So I'm trying to understand where the sensors are and how they are triggered. Are there vibration sensors, light sensors, something else?
Todays I discovered that if you lock the car with driver (perhaps other) window open, then it's enough to stick your hand inside the car to trigger the alarm. You don't even need to touch anything. So I think there must be a light sensor somewhere. Try it for yourself.

Page 88 (and adjacent) of the manual tell you how to turn off the motion sensors.

My Mach E pops up a dialog on the middle display, asking whether I want the alarm off, every time I turn off the car. The prompt can be turned off, and I believe it's on by default.

If you don't want the alarm turned off permanently, just tap the off option in the pop up whenever you want it off.

The nice thing about having an electric car is you can leave it on with animals in it. Just take your fop or phone with you and press the bottom buttons on the door.

I think I read that the car turns off, after 30 minutes, do you know if this is true?

I can confirm the car shuts off after 30 minutes as I was standing in a driveway talking to a buddy about the running car for that long and it shut off. ;)

There is an option in the settings to disable the auto-shutoff after 30 minutes, I’ve seen it a few times. Though I think I’ve read you have to do this each time, in other words you shut it off now and want to let it run long again tomorrow, you have to disable the 30 minute auto-shutoff again.

A somewhat limited "pet mode".
