I left my wife in the car and went off to do an errand (with my fob in my pocket)and the alarm system activated. I hit the alarm button on the fob and it stopped. Does anyone know why the alarm activated? Could it be the interior motion sensor>

Yes, you need to hit the "disable" button on the screen for the interior motion sensors when you turn off the car if you are leaving people inside. Or else do not lock the doors with people inside.
