This was about a parking spot. I don’t think it mattered what the OP was driving.I haven’t had this happen and it sucks. But hate is real man. I got my wife the cyber orange GT. I admit most people are nice and have actually told us they love the car but we also get some hate. Like people speeding up when we merge on freeway. Some people cutting infront of us for no reason. Today we were on our last stretch home and turned on our street and made a right. There was an old van at the stop sign and flipped my wife off for no reason as we made the right turn. We don’t speed, we don’t try to out others down but some people be hating for real on us. It’s nuts. We never realized it but wow there are haters in the world even only cuz you have a nice car
Big brother watching is all well and good until it’s YOU that does something wrong. This thread is a great PSA however, I think this is where Tesla leads with their dashcam videos around the cars. I think all these electric cars should have the cam footage available as a dashcam already unlocked and ready to use. Especially in these cases where the cameras on the sides of the car will come in handy.
Ahmed,Report filed. Officer said he would try and look at mall cameras.
I am with you on that one... Maybe Ford should offer the option to record locally to a USB drive that way at least I own the footage.Big brother watching is all well and good until it’s YOU that does something wrong.
While Apple is willing to give the middle finger to even the FBI….. Tesla? Not so much.
Remember the Tesla that ran into a tree and burnt to a crisp last year? Tesla was telling the press and anyone who’d listen all the details about what happened prior to the accident.
Why?Yikes! Wish we had a sentry mode like Tesla. Anyone using a dashcam that runs on the car's idle battery? This is one of my biggest fears
Or better, upload to HomeKit Secure Video.I am with you on that one... Maybe Ford should offer the option to record locally to a USB drive that way at least I own the footage.

TonyAhmed,
I read the post earlier that you are not from the US my friend and understand the horror stories you May have heard but speaking on behalf of Law Enforcement as I am now a retired Deputy Sheriff in California. Law enforcement in the US may have gotten a bad rap the last few years because of some isolated incidents.....Not going to mention the cases here....But in Totality, We are the safest in the world when it comes to Law Enforcement.
You took the right step by reporting the crime to your local Police Department or Security personnel at the Mall. At least now they are aware and will do diligence into looking into the incident. More than likely, it's the same person who cried out about you taking his/her spot but he/she is still innocent until circumstantial evidence shows otherwise.
I appreciate you sharing the story and hope everything works out with your Car's damage.
Don't we all love these MME's?
Best of luck my friend.......Sorry for the long narrative but had to chime in and express my 2 cents.....
I don’t want to go down an off-topic dirt road, but I would caution that your view of law enforcement is not universal. I know people who’ve suffered great injustices at the hands of “law enforcement”, and there are a lot of lawyers who will tell you to NEVER voluntarily speak with law enforcement, beyond the bare minimum (such as minimal answers at a traffic stop).Ahmed,

Thank you Ahmed......Hope all works out but for some reason, I may have read it wrong.Tony
Not sure the post you are referring to... I was born and raised in NJ. I do believe Law enforcement in the US is the best of the best and they get my upmost respect. People seem to focus on the outlying incidents that make headlines and not realize this is not the norm... Sad. Ironically I have heard it is the norm in other countries that police pull people over and ask for money to let them go.. Unimaginable in the US.
The officer reached out to me to tell me he will be checking the mall cameras, hopefully they get the perpetrator driving towards me, and then walking by my car.. hopefully that will suffice.
Went in for a quote at the body shop today lets see how it pans out.
