If buying a Tesla is the mentally superior and right thing to do, I don’t want to be right. I’d keep my ICE vehicles first.
They don't have to. Within Tesla's fanbase there is what I hope is a minority of rabid fans who are essentially in a personality cult. Go to a Tesla forum some time and just read through some of the threads and watch what happens if someone says anything out of the party line, no matter how benign.
Only the folks who share affiliate links, or have monetized YouTube channels, or invest in $TSLA.
You know, I really rather dislike Tesla’s. But it would never occur to me to denigrate them like that on any social media platform. Lots of people like them. Good, they should buy or lease one. I’ll buy the MME (when mine finally arrives here). Just utterly unfathomable to me.

I dunno. It seemed to start off well with the comments from "Snake" Plissken. After that it seemed to be a war between the lovers, the Mustang fan boys in their 60s, and the Teslavangelists. I guess that's why I neither read comments on news articles nor on Tweets most of the time.
