Yes; those are actually infrared emitters for tracking the driver's eyes to ensure that he or she is paying attention during hands free. The cameras pick up that frequency but your eyes cannot see it.

Maybe it is the angle but half or more of his head is above the headrest which make his head look at the high end of the space. Maybe I am not looking at it right.

I'm just giving you a hard time. Yeah, I think the angle is a little misleading. I would imagine you can raise the headrest too.
