April 13 I bought a Mach e with 6000 miles on it From a dealership seven days later, it found its way to the service department cause I was getting all kinds of faults. They told me there was an update. And the car could just shut off while I’m driving it so I said that was eight days ago. They told me I was lucky cause they stopped doing the update for now. The wires won’t melt. They said the parts are coming from Michigan and they can’t go on a plane so somebody has to drive them in a box truck.

Sorry, I’m a little shaken up by the whole thing, but I purchased a certified pre-owned 2021 Mach-E Select AWD 2 weeks ago. A week later, I received 2 errors: a power train error and a high voltage battery junction box error. Luckily I already made a service appointment near me just to get everything checkout again, so when I brought it to a local service center they said it would take about a day to get the part and replace it. The day after, Ford put a halt on ordering the parts. My service center is now waiting for the part to be delivered via ground shipping. They said I was lucky that they were able to order my part, but now it’s been over a week of waiting with no end in sight. On top of that, I’m worried that the new HVBJB I receive will result in the 1 peddle driving fault that has been occurring with replacements. Overall, just a very frustrating experience for an eager new Mach-E Owner.

I don’t think there is a hold on parts (maybe that’s changed?), but there is a hold on software updates including the ones needed as part of the HVBJB recall.

You have every right to be frustrated with the experience. I empathize with your position. It’s unfortunate that Ford is having a very difficult time getting the hardware and software right.

The hold on service is to allow Ford to correct the 1 PD software issue. It is unfortunate that you have to wait but you should be good to go once you get your car serviced.

Hi there! Would you send us a private message with your VIN and dealership name and location? I’d like to look into this concern on my end.
