That kind of encounter doesn’t bother me what does bother me are the ICE vehicles parked in front of charging stations usually at Walmart. Those dudes with the mullets and the members only jackets and the old spice cologne are setting up a confrontation in most cases. Sometimes they leave the Missus or the kids in the vehicle to taunt you while they shop. They claim it is their inalienable “raht” to park anywhere. It’s almost like a Saturday night live skit

Walmart is my last option for charging

Not all that scientific, but good enough for one-liners and estimates: "My full-charge range is similar to that of 7 - 8 gallons of gas."
I sure hope you can do better than that. Thought I'd check my wife's Audi Q5. Average over 20,000 miles is 23 miles/gallon and last 10 miles 19 miles/gallon (local store trip). My GTPE is averaging 3.1 miles/kW driving same type of routes. Using 89kW battery capacity gives me a 275 range and taking the 23 miles/gallon for a comparison gives me 12 gallons of gas equivalent if I did the math right.

Yeah OP missed an opportunity. Now the dude thinks you can’t drive it to Florida.
We are better off with out twits like that owning one anyway. If he is really that goofy to ask the question he does not deserve to know.....

PS. standard practice at Towne Fair is to repair any tire puncture (except sidewall) at no cost to anybody that walks in the door. It is a part of their marketing as the may sell you a new tire if it cannot be repaired or you will appreciate and shop there for your next set of tires.

I've seen the response that says, "Hope you don't live in California with all the power outages and the fires. You won't be able to charge your car if there is no power." I didn't realize EV batteries go completely dead when you get home and you always have to charge them up every night in order to drive the next day.

"California even told everyone to not charge their EVs as it will cause to much issue with the power grid."

So many uninformed people.
And you won't be able to pump gas for your ICE at the gas station if there's no power. Just sayin'.

Well, some are smart. I'd say stopping for a few hours and charging free, getting comped drinks for me and the Mrs. while we are entertained by gaming and ability to watch every possible event on the sports betting video wall...and leaving with about $60 more than when we arrived... is pretty smart.

Not a bad tip for those looking to charge on the road, usually free and many, many charging stations.
As long as you're smart enough to stop gambling while you're ahead and keeping your drinking moderate if you'll be driving afterwards. Remember the safest BAC for driving is Zero.

Yup, follow a protocol for both.

Think about it. It is the ultimate response to the common question to "is that a Mustang?"

The two best interactions I've had are:

"Is that a modified suped-up older car?"

"I thought you just stuck a Mustang badge in an SUV because you like the cars".
The last two interactions I had about my Mach-e used exactly the same words, but with extremely different inflections.

1. “That’s not a Mustang!” Very angrily spoken by a lady who was blocking my parking spot by standing behind my car while I was trying to back out. She was mad about that and mad it makes a beep when trying to back up. In the busiest parking lot in the town next to one of the top 10 busiest roads on the island.

2. “That’s not a Mustang?” Asked by a guy at a different parking lot upon seeing a Mach-e for the very fist time. He liked It.

Oh but they have generators at gas stations that can power the pumps using gas or natural gas. Meaning they have generators that generate electricity to power the pumps to provide gas to a ICE vehicle.

I've heard this excuse before as well. They forget there is that step in there where the generator creates electricity.

I don’t understand that people don’t know that you can recharge the battery? Like they don’t have a phone that gets recharged every day.
You can recharge phones? ?
