Donor car is Mach-e select

I am trying to get Select model headlight assemblies to work on premium. Of course Mach-e it is throwing a hissy fit (codes) about it. Can premium be told through FDRS or FORScan to play nicely with Select headlight assemblies? What do you all think.

Thank you.

I have researched whether the opposite is possible (Premium "projector" light assemblies on to a CR1 with the "reflector" headlights, same as Select). The forum answer was no, due to different module hardware.

I don't remember the forum, it may have been this forum, but I do remember that it was difficult to find an answer.

I have not tried doing this, I was more interested if it was possible. The person that did try said it didn't work.

This tracks with what I remember from reading through the original Kickstarter front pony's instructions. Select versus other trims had VERY different requirements for installation.

No, the headlight control module expects the matching headlight. Selects don't have a headlight control module (HCM) IIRC and are wired differently so you won't be able to get it to work short of a complete hack job.

Almost went with complete hack job. Wire counts in connectors and HCM setup is different so at that point stopped chasing my tail. But in a pinch select head light assemblies will work. You will only have low beams and turn signals.

Thank you all for replies.
