Mach e - Tesla Supercharger cable length

Received my NACS adapter yesterday. I felt it best to go to my local supercharger and test it out prior to heading out of town. I figured the cable length would be an issue and was not disappointed. The pull up design and short cable length of the Tesla chargers will pretty much make using them during peak times almost impossible. I would have to park in the charger next to the one I am using or parallel in front of two in order to connect. I will have to parallel park in front of two or like yesterday, park partially beside it in the approach. If I can't pull up beside it, I cannot connect. What would have potentially fixed this issue would be if the NACS adapter was 90 degrees so that the supercharger connector could plug straight in. I was pretty excited for the expanded charge network but now realize that it is not going to streamline my travels. I did look for a 5 foot supercharger extension cable but could only see a 21 foot as my shortest option. I feel Ford really missed the mark on this one.

Ford didn't miss the mark on anything here. This is 100% Tesla. Their early charging station designs weren't created with other vehicles and other charging locations in mind - even the CyberTruck has a hard time reaching some of these chargers. The V4 cabinets (without the open middle section) have longer cables to reach more vehicles. And the adapter is also designed/made by Tesla.

BTW, look carefully at those 21' supercharger extension cables you think you found. I'll bet you they are for L2 charging only.

Or find a V4 tower with extra long cables.

You don't have to worry about being rude and take up an extra charger & space.

$280 L3 Tesla extension cables are available from A2Z.

I'd never get one - too pricey!

No no apparently Tesla is perfect; somehow this is Fords fault. They should have known Tesla couldn’t make adapters quickly and not all stations are easy to use and therefore not allowed us to use them period.
