I went to a local Kia dealer when the EV6 first came out and they were asking $10k ADM. I told them I would never pay ADM and the salesperson said that the $10k was the starting point for negotiations. No, not going to happen. I walked out of the dealership, never to return again.
One of the first GTPE orders placed after my local dealer gave me a written agreement on selling MSRP. Of course at time of paper work sale guy was told twice to wriite up a FORD extended warranty. He tried to slip in a third party one. You did this because I'm a senior? He just pulled the wrong form.

When I pulled up to charge at EVGo, there was an EV9 charging.

Owner and I started chatting about it and the inside looks amazingly spacious.

Love the driver displays.

Hated the hard plastics everywhere.

Hard plastics? That's a base model. The GT-Line is nothing but soft touch surfaces everywhere. It's really a nice interior at that trim. I dare say even better than the Rivian.

One thing I do know is top trim AWD cost $75000 and weighs 5600 lbs. Range is 220 to 250 miles. Winter range has not been verified. Battery should be 129kw for size and weight to achieve better range at the premium price. I'm looking forward to see it when its at our local dealer. I do like the Pallisade calligraphy interior.

Not a fan of the mini-HVAC touchscreen being blocked by the steering wheel and out of reach by the front passenger.

For $60K you would think it would be a bit more upscale ?

Or maybe I am expecting too much from a Korean manufacturer ?

Think about the RWD base model at 201 hp pulling 5000 lbs. Really?

Yeah. EV9 and ID.Buzz base trims are purely for marketing trims. 200-ish hp will barely move such heavy EVs.

I still intend to check one out.

Still wish it was a Carnival-type vehicle (minivan) instead of a three-row SUV. Sliding doors are amazing.

Cooled to the idea of buying another EV within the next two or so years, now that pretty much all manufacturers have committed to changing their charging plug type to NACS by 2025, it seems. Hopefully we'll have a minivan-style EV by then (not the ID.Buzz - I'd consider it, but I don't like the way that VW has done EVs).

Largest dealer in Pittsburgh back in 99 had 38 leftovers of Dodge Caravans. Picked out the sport model in candy apple red chrome rims spoiler. Very sharp. All options. Used it 5 years traveling and hauling my daughters stuff to college and weekend visits . An ev van AWD 129kwh battery 300 plus would be awesome.

A 3-row EV needs a 150 kWh battery minimum imo.
