As previous posts have stated, you are looking at a few thousand dollars to make said color change. While I am not opposed to it (in fact I think it looks really cool in most cases), I would however suggest that you go into this with your eyes wide open so to speak.Hello everyone, I wanted to create a thread for people who have wrapped their Mach-Es to post photos! I am planning on wrapping my Mach-E IBSM GT when it arrives and am curious what colors people have done so far! ? Thinking about doing a pink candy shift or color change of some sort but have not seen a ton of wrapped mach es so want to see them all!!
In my experience of owning and selling multiple cars throughout the years, I have more times than not taken a hit on most modifications. In other words, the money you fork out for this change will at best (in most cases) get you what you car would be worth w/o said color change. In most cases, if you are trading in a car the first thing that is asked is if there has been any modifications/accidents done to the car.
I own a Driving School and I place decals on the cars right away and after about 3 years, the decals become "part of" the car's paint. No matter how much you clean the car after removing the decals, the glue from the decals make a permanent mark on the paint due to fading and other things.
So in conclusion, the money that you fork out up front will most likely cost more down the road to either remove/repaint or leave on and take a hit on resale. (most times) And a side note, if you are thinking of changing it to Pink, I would take the bet that the resale would take a considerable hit. (unless you are selling it to a Mary Kay or Pink Panther fan of course.)
Just something to think about........................
Good Luck and I look forward to seeing your new car!!
