Hello everyone, I wanted to create a thread for people who have wrapped their Mach-Es to post photos! I am planning on wrapping my Mach-E IBSM GT when it arrives and am curious what colors people have done so far! ? Thinking about doing a pink candy shift or color change of some sort but have not seen a ton of wrapped mach es so want to see them all!!
As previous posts have stated, you are looking at a few thousand dollars to make said color change. While I am not opposed to it (in fact I think it looks really cool in most cases), I would however suggest that you go into this with your eyes wide open so to speak.

In my experience of owning and selling multiple cars throughout the years, I have more times than not taken a hit on most modifications. In other words, the money you fork out for this change will at best (in most cases) get you what you car would be worth w/o said color change. In most cases, if you are trading in a car the first thing that is asked is if there has been any modifications/accidents done to the car.

I own a Driving School and I place decals on the cars right away and after about 3 years, the decals become "part of" the car's paint. No matter how much you clean the car after removing the decals, the glue from the decals make a permanent mark on the paint due to fading and other things.

So in conclusion, the money that you fork out up front will most likely cost more down the road to either remove/repaint or leave on and take a hit on resale. (most times) And a side note, if you are thinking of changing it to Pink, I would take the bet that the resale would take a considerable hit. (unless you are selling it to a Mary Kay or Pink Panther fan of course.) ;)

Just something to think about........................

Good Luck and I look forward to seeing your new car!!

I currently have a heavily modded jeep that I plan to private sell after taking ownership of the Mach-E. I also plan to keep the car for at least 8 years until the battery dies which at that point it will cost more to replace the battery than just go for a new car. I appreciate the advice and will post photos once we do it! I do wonder what the difference between vinyl and PPF is.

Vinyl is used more to add custom detailing whereas PPF is used more for protection. PPF is a clear product and is used (to my knowledge) more for rock chips etc. for the front end of the vehicle. They are usually applied to the front of the hood, side mirrors and anything else that would be in contact with road debris. Vinyl can be ordered in almost any color imagined.

That is my "limited" knowledge between the two.

I've had PPF on many vehicles, the longest was on an Escape I had for 11 years. Other than a slight yellowing (the latest films should be considerably better) it held up very well. When I sold the vehicle I removed the film on the headlights without issue (the only place I noticed the yellowing.)

When I had the MME done I noticed they had black and satin versions of PPF, was really tempted to get the satin for that flat look, but couldn't go for the cost for a full wrap ($4400.)

PPF will last significantly longer.

Front Xpel PPF - supposed to be invisible protection.

3M 2080 S344 Satin Canyon Copper Vinyl, with Gloss Black stripes and Brushed Black Aluminum nose - not meant to be as durable as PPF more for looks. My MachE is actually SpaceWhite. Same as @Murse-In-Airy I opted NOT to vinyl my door pillars or other bits like inside of frunk hood or hatch.
I love that satin copper
