Nice, thanks!

For the row for Battery %, is that starting SoC or ending?

Bjorn usually puts up a chart of time/distance but didn't. I wonder if that's because it was both winter and Ford told him that the curve would change?

"The all-wheel-drive version with extended-range battery is estimated to add an average of 52 miles of range in approximately 10 minutes"

270mi EPA range / 88kWh usable = 3.07mi/kWh

From Bjørn's videos we know it takes 30 minutes to get 50kWh.

Looks like 30 minutes of charging will get us over 150 miles of EPA range on the 4X.
Ah, thanks. I was thinking the 300 mile range version that's usually pointed to, but yes, I do remember seeing 52 for the AWD (270) now that you mention it.

In general, I found consistent charging to Bjorn:
150kW for 2-4 minutes
100-110kW until 40-60% SOC
about 80kW to 80% SOC
Immediate drop to ~15kW at 80% SOC

One charge session was started at just under 50% SOC -- no 150kW peak and stayed at around 100kW to the 80% wall.

350kW chargers charge a little hotter than 150kW across the charging curve.

So using a 350kW charger is useful in a Zap-and-Dash (the 60 miles in 10 minute charges). It's not that important for a charge to 80%. Use 350kW if they are available but don't drive out of your way to find one.

Here's some data from a brief fast charge session, pulled up at around 70%, charged up to 80%. It was on 350kw EA charger. The MME current requested is in green and you can see around 80% it drops from ~120A to ~20A. Not sure what happened around 78%, if it was temperature related, nearing the 80%, or a minor adjustment for other reasons
I'll try to get a better recording next time we let the battery get lower

Thanks, I very interested in the different temperature readings from around the car and pack. Do they spike when charging at 155kWs?
The Bolt has over a dozen PIDs for temperature that can be accessed. I'm hoping the MME does too.

Ok, maybe I'm slow but I see it now.

The car thinks it has a 70kWh battery but is telling you 68.
What does it say at 100%? Or 0%? I assume that 5kWhs would be at the bottom.

Average power 10% to 80% = 88.3kW
Time to 80% = 42 mins 20 secs
Miles per minute (WLTP) = 5.6
That seems to be fairly representative of the curve when it's working right, and with mild temps.

Kyle also got the trick of stopping and restarting to force that early peak to repeat, but that was hardly worth it because it takes so long to restart a new session that you just lose any time you may gain.
