Kia Rio, MME SR RWD coming soon

Even I chose the MME I keep watching and following closely other EVs from other brands just to see how tech is evolving and I'm wondering if MME has:
- Fancy voice controls (like open trunk, open windows, etc);
- Does the voice control detect if the request came from the driver or the passenger?
- Does the driver screen show the open door in the same graphical way that it shows the seatbelts info?

Not related to the topic, how fast are the automatic headlights? My currently KIA takes so long that sometimes I've already left the dark place when they turn on.

  • The entire list of voice commands are here. Not many fancy voice controls. Also, it often hears commands wrong, or just responds with something like "Could not find... Please try again." could be an issue with my accent too
  • Nope, it just listens to the ambient speech from the cabin. Although, it ought to listen better to the driver, as the microphone is right above the driver's head.
  • There's no infographic popup like I have seen in other vehicles. Instead there is a line of text that appears as a dismiss-able popup on the driver screen indicating which door is open.
  • Auto headlights/adaptive headlights: They're super-responsive. From personal experience, I have never had a problem for them turning on even when I go through a wide-ish underpass/tunnel. Even the auto-high beam performance is perfect.

Same experience. I find the voice command system useless (pretty much always true for Fords) and jut don't use it.

What!!! We have voice control on or Mustangs, I haven't had ford assist or voice nav
for months. I thought one of the updates eliminated all that.

Still works for me, although I always use Alexa instead of Ford, Alexa is much more accurate in its speech recognition.
