I think it's human nature to get miffed when someone gets a better deal than you.are we complaining about lower prices? Or are we mad that now that we got "ours" we don't want other people to get a discount.
Watch Elon drop the price of a Model S to sub-$55k?!True, it's a sedan (which is capped at $55,000.)
I still remember the big brouhaha in 2020 when Ford dropped everyone’s prices, but dropped some trims more than others after people had already locked their order in, and people thought Ford was the worst of the worst because it gave some customers greater savings than they were receiving, even though literally everyone got some price drop.I think it's human nature to get miffed when someone gets a better deal than you.
I have to remember that I've been able to drive my car (mostly) for the past 2 years and enjoy the energy cost and driving benefits of ownership.
I will take a bath when I go to sell it, which is why I'm likely to hold on to it for as long as I can.
You dodged a bullet IMO. Look at the depreciation on the Audi EVs. They drop like rocks. You can buy a 2022 E Tron at Carmax for $30k less than MSRP on a 2023 E Tron.I was looking at an Audi GT this summer, and Audi was offering 20k off MSRP on top of the 10% off MSRP that dealers were offering.
I was really tempted to upgrade.
I wasn't here for any 2020 price drop drama, but remember the one that happened in the past year.I still remember the big brouhaha in 2020 when Ford dropped everyone’s prices, but dropped some trims more than others after people had already locked their order in, and people thought Ford was the worst of the worst because it gave some customers greater savings than they were receiving, even though literally everyone got some price drop.
You can buy a 1 year-old E-Tron GT for almost $55k right now. They have terrible depreciation...for a reason. To be honest, I'd be there in a heartbeat.
That's horrific for the seller. Does it have reliability issues? You can buy a 1 year-old E-Tron GT for almost $55k right now. They have terrible depreciation...for a reason.

My comment was specific to the Model S.You can buy a 1 year-old E-Tron GT for almost $55k right now. They have terrible depreciation...for a reason.
About average for an Audi. That's horrific for the seller. Does it have reliability issues?
Wow, didn't know it dropped that low. I would definitely trade in my GTPE for one as long as it's still under warranty. Its essentially a Porsche taycan with more sophisticated clothes. That's horrific for the seller. Does it have reliability issues?
Yes, ran across 2 Audi eTron owners while charging and the '21 & '22 have had major issues - both had safety issues - one would shift into reverse instead of drive. The other had an acceleration issue that crashed into their garage wall.About average for an Audi. You can buy a 2021 Etron SUV for about half the MSRP on a new one.
Yes I've read they have some major issues. I admit the car really gets my blood pumping (I even like the baby poop paint color) but I'd only lease one.
