anything from I think May 2022 would not need it. Plus it only affects the ER and GT models I believe. SR are not affected

Hi got a mach e ER and yesterday the car threw up a fault with the high voltage connector, reading up on it the us have recalled 40,000 cars for this fault, seems a update with software cures the fault but reduces the bhp and extends the charge time.
Customers in the US are taking ford to court with a law suit, has this happened to anyone else yet.

That is not quite accurate. There was a recalll in the summer of 2022. This was for Mach’s manufactured before May 24, 2022. It was a software patch that effectively detected a potential failure of the HVBJB and then threw SVS error and throttled available power. Prior to that the car would just operate until the unit failed and then the car threw a SSN and was bricked. Unfortunately this recall did not work in all cases and some people still received SSN. Ford has now released another recall that will replace all HVBJB ‘s manufactured prior to May 24, 2022. That is underway at this time. No one that I know of is taking Ford to court (at least successfully.) I had thought I read this recall was now effective in Europe too.

In the U.S., we've had two HVBJB-related recalls. The first one (22S41 from June 13, 2022) applied to all vehicles and was only a software update to better detect a failing HVBJB and tries to provide earlier notice to the driver before it completely fails. The second recall (23S56 from October 13, 2023) only applies to Mach-Es with the extended range battery. It actually replaces the HVBJB. You didn't get this second recall for your Select, right? (I didn't get it for my Premium SR.)

Exactly. Well spotted.

August 16, 2021 through May 24, 2022 were the inclusive dates for '22 models.

Right, sorry for the confusion. When I said "from 10/13/23" I was referring to the date of the recall notice, not the affected vehicle production dates.
