This is relevant to UK owners only, I think. I’m currently selling my 2021 Mach-E and had the expected valuation reduced by £1,200 by Motorway.com because they say I only have a partial service history. I have serviced my Mach-E much more frequently than every 2 years but assumed it was 2 years and unlimited miles because the FordPass app and website show every “2 years (0 ml)” for my VIN. Unfortunately, after speaking to Ford UK customer services via email, it appears the mileage limit changes depending on the model year so a 2021 is every 2 years or 18,000 miles, and a 2024 for example, is every 2 years with unlimited miles. So, if you have been servicing your 2021 based on what the FordPass and Ford website have been saying the service interval is for your vehicle, you may be in for an expensive surprise! 😦

Contrast that with the 1 year or 10,000 miles here in the US. Plus dealers not wanting to perform the service anyway (except for a tire rotation). None of this makes sense. Like a bunch of amateurs.

Heck! This is a consequence of bad advice over servicing intervals if true if car buyer is not misinformed.

My job 1, Jun ‘21 delivered Premium RWD ER started off with annual/18,000 mile service intervals.

8mths in, during Feb ‘22 and already with 18,500 miles, saw Stangy’s first scheduled service.

18,000 miles later I tried to book car in for service but was denied a booking🤷🏼‍♂️

I know, crazy😬

Asked why and was told service was not due because intervals changed to 2 years unlimited mileage.

That would mean 60,000 miles without anybody looking over and under Stangy!

Now, I am or was then a forensic vehicle examiner so probably best placed to keep a trained eye on stuff that’s wearing or beginning to fail, have wheel alignment checked & adjusted as neccessary twice a year but still was uncomfortable about prospect of such long service intervals by mileage.

Therefore, insisted they service car anyway at 36,000 miles after c15mths.

Had car serviced since more frequently than recommended due to my above average annual mileage so shouldn’t be penalised for adopting wrong service intervals but after 5 years nearly and 125,000miles the amount they may try and knock the value is probably five eights of nothing🤷🏼‍♂️

May just give away the car anyway in the end🤷🏼‍♂️

Really hope no fellow Stangsters are penalised due to this anomaly.

Haha!

It’s like the performance of the pre-conditioning, perceived range, whether the kicky open boot will work this time, if A/C will be on when Start is pressed again and many many more, your servicing requirements have been put through the Mustang Mach-e randomiser of life 😂😂😂😂

According to the email I received from Ford UK customer services,:

For model years 2023 and later: Visit Owner's Manual at https://www.ford.co.uk/support/owner-manuals, select your model and year, download the Service Portfolio, then review the Service Intervals section.

Having done that for 2025 model years it says 2 years, unlimited miles. Best check with your dealer though and if they beg to differ show them the email I screenshotted at the start of this thread.

If I had to chose between my vehicle being worth £1,200 less or bringing it in for needless service so the dealer can pad their pockets and try to sell me worthless other services and waste my time, I know which one I'd chose.
