Modem issue?

I'm experiencing similar problems as this. Were you able to get it working after pulling out the fuse?
Yes, as a matter of fact I got tired of waiting around for a communications part that is on nationwide shortage and pulled the 21/22 fuse and waited 5 minutes and put it back in.

Amazingly, when I turned my car on, it immediately connected to the Ford servers and my app also connected right away and I saw the current range and milage of my car.

It boggles my mind that this isn't like the first step for Ford service technicians to troubleshoot because obviously many people are experiencing this. They'd rather order a part and make the customer wait for weeks, maybe longer, wasting both money and man-hours. Not surprising though, considering corporations hardly ever actually know what's going on anymore and would rather pass the cost on to us. It's frustrating.

I'm going to call my local Ford tomorrow and explain it to the service manager I've been speaking to.

Looks like for me I have a different problem as the fuse didn't fix it. As far as I can tell everything else is working fine for me including other connected services. It's just the hands free mode not working even though I have an active subscription to it. So probably something more with subscriptions but I can't remember the last time it received an update either.

To be clear: You're saying BC does not work? Did BC work at some point and then stopped working, or it has never worked at all?

Hi y'all. I created an account here because I'm experiencing the same issue on my Mach-E Select that's less than 2 month old and need help :(

My question is- when you pull out the 21/22 fuse to reset the modem, are you pulling it from the frunk fuse box or the passenger side cabin box? Also, are you disconnecting the 12v battery as well?

The guys at the Ford dealer told me that the communications module is on nationwide backorder and no clue when mine will arrive. I don't want to wait potentially months! I told him I read about the 21/22 fuse on a forum and he just said he wouldn't go yanking fuses out of my car :rolleyes:
The TCU is on fuse #11, so it would be the 11/12 fuse that you pull if the GWM doesn’t solve it. Remember to wait a minute or so before plugging it back in. ??

BC always used to work before. The first trial expired and then they called me earlier this year for a 1 month free trial so I signed up for that and it worked fine during that 1 month. When that trial expired though I lost BC. I subscribed later at a discounted rate and ever since I resubscribed it has not worked. It's the handsfree that doesn't work. When you press the button, it claims it's entering into BC but even in sections of highway I know has handsfree, it never enters into handsfree mode anymore. So sounds like maybe a different issue than this thread is about.

I agree it's not the same issue. PM me the VIN and I'll look tomorrow to see if I see anything.

Thanks for the offer but I've already had several look into it. I have other priorities for now, maybe it will be fixed by November lol. I haven't seen an update since April though on my car's updates I think, would be nice to know what pilot group I'm in and when updates are supposed to be pushed out so you have an ounce of an idea that something is amiss. I turned them off yesterday until I revisit the issue. Hands free isn't that big of a deal for me, although the 600 I paid to get it again will make it a big deal eventually. Thanks.

Starting having the connected service tab blank, and software update page go into an endless waiting screen tonight. Pulling the 21/22 fuse fixed it. Good win for the forum

After Blue Cruise 1.3 feature enhancement update IPMA-24.204.8.27 lost all MachE connection, nav, fordpass, etc. no data. Followed the fuse 21/22 reset and it worked. Saved me a dealership visit. MachE forums for the win!

Bluecruise was not working, neither was the Ford app (information would not update over 2 weeks). After pulling the 21/22 fuse and putting it back in, Bluecruise and the app both work 100% again.
