My Mach-E Was Stolen

I'm about to get my Mach-E and my dealer was trying to sell me Lojack for $700 - which is a reasonable price for it if I need it, but then I researched and ford location tracking feature should work. Based on this thread, I was a bit confused, so I talked to Ford chat and they confirmed that I can see location in the app anytime and if it doesn't have signal, then I can call them w/ police next to me (or police can call) and Ford can find location - so that's great news and definitely means LoJack is not needed.
Wanted to give an update in case others are wondering.

I wonder if using the word “armed” would work if your only “weapon” is a water balloon or a soda straw with a wad of paper in it (and I doubt I’d have anything even THAT dangerous!) ???? I certainly wouldn’t have something as dangerous as a slingshot which is what I’m SURE you meant ?

If I'd got a "not interested" response from police on my way to retrieve my property, I'd promptly let them know I meant they should dispatch a coroner's van to the location that I'll handle it. Half a dozen will magically come out of the woodwork suddenly with great interest.

I'm not discounting what you were told, but I highly doubt Ford taking any interest in helping. It's not like it's OnStar where that's their purpose.

Man that sucks and I am so sorry to hear that. I have been contemplating of hiding an Apple AirTag on my ME but just haven't figured out where to put it yet. I have been hesitating on the AirTag thinking that it can't be that easy to steal an EV?! But maybe not. Just can't imagine how they got it started, unless like you said, you left your fob in there.

This is piss poor security from Ford. It should not be that easy for them to just delete your car from Ford Pass with Key Fob or not… wow

If you leave your FOB in the car, why does Ford have piss poor security?
