It was almost a month to get repaired because every time they went to reassemble it they found another little part they had to replace.

I forgot that happened to you, too. Looks like you have a bit more damage. Again, I was shocked the initial estimate was only $3100. It will be interesting to see what it ends up being.

My initial estimate was a hilarious $1500.

Truck blowouts or ladders in the freeway are always going to incur big repairs but for the more modest 2x4 one has to tangle with, the difference between low-profile and "normal" tires is the difference between a blowout and damaged rim versus just driving on.

I get the Mustang sporty thing, but really wish the Premiums at least had a "comfort" package option that gave you more rubber radius on a smaller rim, e.g. 18".

Hey @stmache any update here? Driving back from a funeral on 275 in Cincinnati I caught what must’ve been a 18x18 black piece of metal/undertray that was kicked up by a truck.

Ripped through my PPF in multiple spots and popped out one sensor. I’m doing so I think it put some deep scores into the air curtain insert and main bumper panel Also popped some seams apart where body panels come together. Not to mention putting a healthy gash in my front right tire.

I’m just a few hours off the incident, can’t decide if I’m going to go the insurance route or figuring this out myself.

I picked up Max last week after 45 days because of the wait for the headlight. The final cost came in twice what the insurance estimate was. Only $500 deductible so feel it was well worth going through insurance.

Are your sensors going off when you stop each time? That's what mine did after losing a couple in the accident. Drove me nuts.

The weather as been lousy since I got Max back but today it was sunny though still cold. Went through a Wash and Rinse Only No Touch Car Wash and took a few photos of the repaired areas. Taken with an iPhone 8 Plus.
