I am guessing Tesla duped everyone into adopting Ncas and now walked away, opening more up, adapters, any of it. Everyone said they are switching ports and other companies are making adapters, Tesla can just wait it out.

The Oracle of Pretoria threw a temper tantrum and fired the vast majority of the charging team (Including the supercharger group), fired thousands of employees at the Buffalo factory where the adapters are made and also at other plants. Tesla sales were apparently down 24% this spring and Space Karen apparently wanted to eliminate that same percentage of jobs to make up for the revenue slump. It’s no wonder the things are dribbling out. Phony Stark has proven to be a good investor; what he’s not is a particularly good businessman imo.

Mr Musk was not a founder of PayPal, that distinction belongs to Peter Thiel, Max Levchin, and Luke Nosek. He also didn’t found Tesla. That honor goes to Martin Eberhard and Marc Tarpenning. SpaceX is a success because of Tom Mueller. His success at the latter two companies is in great part due to his investment acumen.

It’s no surprise to me that brand T is behind in its manufacturing and deliveries. I’m optimistic though and expect the official adapter to land en masse around the same time as the Robo Taxi and new Roadster arrive.

I wonder if Tesla in intentionally slow-rolling the adapters to not overwhelm their network.

Bought my Mach E last week- they told me the adapter would be delivered in October. Ordered the Lectron adapter on Friday and it arrived Sunday. Going to charge with it today. Tesla Supercharger station is a mile from my house.

It is fairly obvious at this point that the dates will continue to slip. Anyone who really desires an adapter in a timely matter will need to purchase a third party. At least the network is open an available.
I’m in this boat myself. The 2nd weekend of September I’ve got a long road trip planned and decided to pull the trigger on the A2Z. I can sell it 2nd hand.

Ford has gotten 2 batches from Tesla (the supplier). The first delivered in April, the second delivered in June.

It appears Rivian (who's in the same boat) got a batch in May, then a second in July.

The batches have been small so far (a few thousand). Ford updated to September for the next batch, but unless something big is happening (like an additional supplier?), it's very slow going.
If this is the case, then you have to wonder why Tesla approved and started supplying Rivian with adapters before supplying Ford with all the adapters promised to Ford.

I doubt it was deliberate, and it’s certainly not Ford’s fault. They presumably based their shipping estimates based on a delivery schedule provided by Tesla.
Which would have been foolish, given Elmo's history.

Well, Ford has over 120,000 ordered. Rivian has much less. And they have contracts. So, they start shipping Rivian per contract, and Ford is shipped as best they can, having fired the team that makes and coordinates the whole process. GM said "spring', and it's "fall" in like 40 days...

Yeah, that's what I've been expecting too, unless they've gotten some dramatic update from Tesla about increasing production 20x by Labor Day.

A 2-3 month delay was manageable. But current pace puts customers with a 70,000 order number somewhere around 2027. Obviously untenable. If Tesla can't deliver soon, they've gotta make other plans.
As suggested I went and purchased an A2Z I’ll be lucky to get Fords by 2028 no lie ?
