Today my replacement adapter(#5289) label created
Same with mine 51xx. No email from FedEx or Ford yet, but I see that the label has been created on my FedEx account. Hopefully most of not all of the replacements will be shipped soon.

I received my replacement today. It's the bigger Lectron adapter. Gives an extra inch to those short Tesla cables.

I used the old adapter 15 times last summer. Worked great for me and no overheating issue that I noticed. I think I'll keep it in my EV9 as a backup in case I forget to take this new one with me on a trip.

I have 2 shipments this morning in my FedEx app coming from Ford for our 2 replacement adapters. Original order #s 5516 and 5481.

Really hoping at least 1 is the Lectron variant.

I received the Ford/Lectron replacement adapter today for my June Tesla-made adapter. It is very robust in construction compared to the old one. Thanks Ford.

And what if I don't?
not sending it back would be a dick move. They provide a label, and the packaging you just have to drop it off at nearest fedex. Remember this $200 adapter you're getting for free.

And while it probably wouldn’t happen….i assume it’s technology feasible to have a vin not able to start a charge on Tesla network.

Received mine today as well, and it was also the Ford-branded Lectron. They overnighted it (the first one was most definitely not overnighted). As a thank you, I already returned the old one.

I'm kind of bummed. Got my replacement adapter along with instructions, a pouch and a return shipping label. Pretty straight forward, however I essentially traded my 2021 in for my 2023. The fact that I don't have the adapter I reserved for the 2023 yet is what has be on the fence here. Email said December ETA. My plan was to give the replacement adapter to the dealership and have them track down the new owner. But with the return, I guess I could also give them the label etc., but it has my details on it. Another option would be have the dealer contact the owner and have them provide the old adapter. Once I have that in hand, I'll give them the replacement and return it per the instructions. But I'm still out a functioning adapter. Thoughts anyone? Is it wrong of me to keep the replacement until I get the one reserved for my current ride? I waited a long time for the initial one. Who knows how long it'll be before I get what I'm supposed to have.
