Great info, thanks. Seems like they somehow skipped my 2 adapters (both 00-D). My order numbers were 5516 and 5481. Nothing in FedEx either. So that 'unannounced' Fedex shipment arrived today and it was a "-21-D" replacement adapter.
For those that haven't seen what comes in the package yet...there's the replacement adapter in the same sort of box, and instruction note that the first one came with, and then there's the plastic shipping bag and Fedex RMA label to send the return back ("-00-D").
And a useful info sheet with a number you can call if you have questions about your order(s).

I did need to call because I have two adapters in the bad batch and didn't know which of the two were supposed to go back as the return for today's delivered replacement.
Turns out it doesn't matter. They aren't tracking them by serial number at all. The lady said they only track them by order number, but there are no correlating serial numbers that match the order numbers, so as long as you send back one of the two "-00-D" adapters (if you have more than one like I do) it doesn't matter which one goes first. She said my other adapter was already on the way to me as well.
She also said that the RMA return label expires after 7 days. So make sure you drop your return off at Fedex within a week of getting the replacement. That's why I'm not just holding on to the first one I received until I get both of them and then returning both at the same time.
I did not get any email letting me know today's adapter had been shipped. First notice was from Fedex themselves.
For those who may be interested, this replacement I received today was for order 90006443.
You can use that phone number to call about your original NACS adapter if you haven't received it yet as well.
