Mechanical issues big and small, software issues big and small, OTA update problems and update fixes not going so well, charging difficulties, service inadequacies etc. etc. Why did I order this car seven months ago and supposedly getting it in two or three weeks if this vehicle is a dud? Did I make a mistake? I suppose that most car forums are where people go to complain and help others with their complaints, but is there anyone out there that can tell me that I made the right decision and that this is a great car and that I’m gonna be really happy with it? I truly hope that the responses to my post are loaded with positive feedback. This is an expensive investment for me and I hope I didn’t throw my money away on the MME. Thanks I’m waiting.

I don’t believe you made a mistake. Any manufacturer that comes out with complete new vehicle like the Mach e you can always expect some problems but I do believe Ford will get the problems work out. After having this Mach e going on 3 months it’s been great.

One year old, smoking hot, fully functional hot rod! Over the air updates have rolled through without issue, including blue cruise. I wish you the same happiness that I'm experiencing.?

20K miles in 9 months here. My car went to the dealer for the glass recall plus they updated BC with no issues. It’s been a great car and you did not make a mistake. Ask an you shall recieve.

I’m a frugal man. These cars are expensive. I’ve bought three. That’s how much I think they’re “worth it.”

What year and trim do you have? I've only had my 2022 Premium AWD ER about a month (ordered June '21 - built April' 22). Other than making the HVBJB recall list, I've had no issues in 2K miles of driving (my HVBJB has not yet failed).

Sure I have some issues with Ford's and Google's (Android Auto) engineering and design choices but that's been the case with every car I've owned.

I love having to drive this car ?. Everyone has a different experience though and yes this car is expensive, period.

First time ford owner, 1 yr old and still love the car, fun to drive and definitely different than buying yet another ICE for the same money, haven’t had big issues other than wanting to get OTAs regularly/faster, but Ford dealership experience sucks (at least for EV owners) so hope you don’t need them.

I took my frugal - no, cheap - parents out in my MME the other day and they both said they could tell this was a whole different level of vehicle. And my mom - who has always been happy driving a Jetta and then basic Civics into the ground - suggested to my dad that they think about getting one!

I absolutely love my MME for everything it is in spite of the problems - and when folks who see cars as utilitarian transport are excited and intrigued by it, you know it’s not just us car geeks hyping a new toy.

I don't regret my purchase at all.

Any desires for a different car are because I want to try out all of the cars, not because of a problem with the MME.

Okay, let's get this out. Yes, there has been some catastrophic failures of some of these vehicles. Mine has been one. Ford supposedly has a software fix that works as a bandaid if the catastrophic failure occurs, you can still get it to a dealership under it's own power. Incident rate appears to be hovering around 1 percent. If your car has that issue, you will get an improved part. It has been enough to warrant a completely unplanned recall. It's still a great car. You won't regret it, but there were going to be some issues with this platform, and you will have to stomach that possibility that your car might brick in a way that ICEs generally don't. Get the extended warranty for some piece of mind.

My experience is the same as TD1273. We are a long retired older couple with limited income and this is the best car we have ever owned. There are a few minor annoyances but I can say that about every car we bought new. The MME is a technological marvel and has performed marvelously. I’m as frugal as they come and I take great delight in its low operational costs.

Is it a mistake? Depends on how patient and understanding you are.

This has no doubt been my favorite car I’ve owned.

It’s also been the most buggy car I’ve owned……. By a landslide. All software nonsense. Nothing has kept me from driving it.

But literally every day something weird happens that shouldn’t.

If you’re used to using computers that don’t respond right away, you have to click the same button multiple times or turn it off and reset it regularly…….. and it’s no big deal. Then you’ll love the car.

If it wasn’t pretty and so amazing to drive, I might kick it to the curb. Luckily it is amazing to drive.
