I rarely use one pedal. Multiple threads have discussed rusty or binding or squeaky brakes . I just try and remember to turn to neutral and use brakes to stop occasionally.
I've never actually done this, I just drive and brake like a normal car (I know the motors provide some braking in all modes). But my rotors look brand new on my 1 year old GT and they looked brand new on my 21 when I had it

I love 1 pedal and have gotten very used to it. I just remember to put my car in neutral once or twice a week when going down a big incline and riding the brakes. Works for me...

10,000 mile experience and learnings
Forum assistance and experiences have been invaluable
what would I do differently?
purchase a later 2023 GTPE
July or even November build date
July for improved battery plumbing - November for “c” version HVBJB

or of course a 2024 or 2025 GT with performance upgrade

for me price and availability in February 2024 was suitable

really enjoy all aspects of GTPE - versatility, space of SUV , driving experience and more

believe many MachE GT or older GTPE are an excellent value
in the present competitive marketplace

perhaps a future rivian or lucid air could be possible
I await industry technology advances

wish I could get a real 12 way ( tilt ) seat

Do yourself a favor, put the car into Unbridle Extend and bed in the brakes. I did it a few weeks ago and hooooly crap are the brakes strong.

About the tires. It kinda blows me away how sensationalist people are about the GTPE stock tires on this forum. I've been driving sports cars on summer tires for years and have never not driven them in the winter. Sub-freezing temps, light snow, never had an issue. Saying these tires can't ever see temps below 20 degrees? Then we should sue Ford for selling this vehicle in anything but tropical climates. I bought my GTPE just before Christmas in VA and it's been driven almost every day since, other than when it was actually snowing. It's in a garage at my house, but at work it sits outside in the cold until I go home. So plenty of temps in the 20s. I just don't drive crazy, pull high G turns, or fast acceleration and braking. Can't imagine the tires will tear themselves apart under very normal driving conditions. If they do, then I'll have to replace them eventually anyway and I'll be the first to admit I'm wrong. I bet it'll be just fine.
I have a 23 GTPE and I’m having issues with these tires right now. The dealership told me that my issue is the tires because they’re summer tires and not all season. I’m hearing this loud think when I turn either way. They claim it’s the tires and I don’t think it’s that. They’ve replaced an axle and now I’m taking it over to another Ford dealership to see what they say. I found your answer to be what I thought before they said what they said yesterday. I thought the tires weren’t the issue.

It is possible your noise (or at least part of it) is originating from tire skip (crabbing)....a bang or thump that occurs when turning sharply especially noticed at low speed...and often noticed when backing out of driveway. It is often a sign it is time to put the summer tires away for the season. The summer rubber gets very stiff. It is a suspension geometry phenomenon accentuated by the unforgiving cold and stiff sidewalls of summer tires. I experienced this a few weeks ago...as I have with all summer tires in my climate over many years. I then put on the Conti DWS-06+ set and all is quiet again.

Of course you may have another 'thing' going on, but summer tires absolutely can become 'thumpy' in cold temps. 45F is typically the low end of acceptability for use as stated by the tire manufacturer.

Just my experience from Colorado - no low speed PZero thumps or bumps - but change to 20 rims and all season tires when temps decrease ( now two seasons)

Ok almost 15,000 miles - what a delightful car. Thanks to this Forum virtually all of the questions and issues have been answered. it is a chameleon for us - front seat clean and spacious and sporty - while the rear with ford rubber mats is a useful a SUV compartment. Doubt the rear seats have been used 5 days in 18 monthes. We rescue dogs and raise the armrest and a net between seats and she supports lots of puppy moves, cages, gear and over 60 dogs have ridden around and found furrever homes.

I will likely add the sway bars this summer. The PAAK is flexible and effective, we have survived two winters with all seasons and the full front PPF and Ceramic coating has been a godsend. Home Level 2 charging and we still use the dreaded Ford mobile charger . It continues to work .as I power it down easily with the GCFI when not in use so it is still "alive" and functional.

Next car might be a porsche/audi ev used with a add on factory warranty. Or a new model of ??
