I used the portable that came with the car for eighteen months on my 21 without any problems but as others have said it's not robust enough to be a permanent option.. I finally ordered a juicebox from my local utility, charges a bit fasterYou recommend a 3rd party charger over the one that came with the Mach e?
I got a SplitVolt switch and share the dryer outlet between the dryer and charger which is also a SplitVolt to match the dryer outlet which was 10-30. It charges at a 5kwh rate but is fine since it will charge it overnight without an issue. I can usually go the weekdays on a single charge but it depends on use during the weekend. I might have to top it off before the start of the week. I have the Ford charger also but keep it in the vehicle so I have it if needed. If I go on a trip I will probably take the SplitVolt charger also just in case it is needed. You recommend a 3rd party charger over the one that came with the Mach e?
Dog? Where? That's me chillin' in the frunk. ??? I’ll have to throw my dog in the frunk. Handsome pooch
I use 120 until I got the splitVolt from Amazon. I plugged it in every night for the first week since it takes so long if I were to wait. I was able59 keep up with amount used that way. Thanks for the charging tips guys. I’ve had it plugged in to the wall plug 120v since Friday night and I’m almost at 80% ?![]()
Man thanks for taking the time for all the tips going to click through those items and the charging tips are great since I’m a newb. Can wait to start getting acquainted with this vehicle. Have spent the last 2 days detailing the Wrx so haven’t driven the Mach e at all yet.1. Install a 50A 240V outlet in your garage. You can buy a charger and keep the Ford mobile charger in your trunk for on the go
2. Never charge above 80% of the rated amperage so this should give you 40A which is plenty.
3. Slow down. It’s a jumpy feeling in unbridled mode. Never use that in snowy icy conditions.
4. Limit DCFC public charging and charge with Level 2 as much as possible. Not saying - avoid it. I’m saying if you can charge Level 2, prioritize that over DCFC.
5. Get these accessories for your mach e.

- TWRAPS Dual Wireless Charging Pad... https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0CM5KD3YP?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share

6. Daily max charge limit 90% and don’t run the battery below 5% unless it is an emergency.
Congratulations. I can tell you that I have driven almost all EV offerings at this point including Tesla (I was a former Model 3 owner for five years) and MME GTPE is the best blend of being a safe car, a well built car, a car with great ride quality, and being an EV. Many safety features like blind spot and rear cross traffic alert parking sensors etc. are not present in Tesla. Each car has a pro and con but MME GTPE model is the best of all worlds. Except resale value. That’s an embarrassing topic so I’m going to spare you from it lol.
I do like them as well, previous owner had good tasteWelcome! What wheels are those? I like 'em.
yes it was a little drizzly today and in whisper mode i goosed it slightly, wheels chirped and paused a moment and said ok, I won't do that again until the pavement dries out a littleI moved from a 2010 Mazdaspeed3 to my GTPE in grabber blue. No more turbo lag or torque steer! It's quite the performance car upgrade for us. ? Take it easy in the rain until you really know how the car will handle. My traction control got a work out this past weekend when it rained here in Phoenix.
It's disappointing Mazda and Subaru are choosing not to make a 100% EV yet. I get they are not a big as Ford or others so they may not be able to afford the development costs. I wonder how many brand loyalists they will lose since they are not offering BEV yet. I wonder what a BEV Miata would be like? Maybe not impressive since the battery weight would kill the sporty nature of that car.
I used mobile charger for nearly 3 years and now I've switched to Grizzle EV charger and its definetly worth switching the charger. Keep the provided charger to use when travelling! You recommend a 3rd party charger over the one that came with the Mach e?
