I haven’t seen anyone post this yet. It is widely known CarPlay directions in the IPC was coming. That works, but I did notice the other day there’s a new large format mode for CarPlay. Not sure if this is iOS 15/iPhone 13 only? Anyone else with a GT have this work? Anyone with iOS 15 have this work on older sync software? Curious if it works with power up 1.7.1.

1.7.1 CarPlay directions in the IPC does not work with Google Maps. (Booo!!) But it did work like you show for Apple Maps in the IPC, did not try the full screen button yet.

AWESOME. Nope, it's the old way with no expanded view on my Premium built late June/early July. Looking forward to 1.7.1 even more now since I'm in CarPlay mode about 99% of the time.

Does that same full screen and IPC directions work if you're using Carplay but Waze instead of Apple Maps? I ask because as someone who ordered a GT, there might be times, allegedly, when one might want to know what "hazards" are ahead as Waze provides.

I'm curious about this answer too, but if you haven't been an Apple Maps user for a little bit, that's now a feature there too. Can report a hazard, an accident, or a speed trap.

Awesome!! When you hit the window expand/shrink button does CarPlay resize immediately? And does the CarPlay app homepage give you 2 or 3 rows of apps per page?

I've seen that you can report things ahead, but I don't think those 'speed checks' ever show up on the map while driving. At least I've never seen them. Only accidents and hazards.

I've seen one once or twice, but it's a new feature, and I don't think enough people know about it or have gone back to Apple Maps from the other mapping apps since its failed iOS 6 launch. Invariably I run into people who say Apple Maps is absolute junk, and I ask when they last used it, and they said "Three or four years ago; it's crap." I always recommend those people try it out again.

I'm one of those. It's hard to trust a map that tried to make me turn into a building in downtown DC, but to your point, I haven't given it a fair shake in a long time
