I am hoping that things like Trip Planner not being available in the app is a temporary thing as development continues in the new app. Having to do trip planning from the car screen really messes with how I determine if I can take the MME without charging or if I need to take my ICE car.

The Trip Planning was removed by stealth because they switched to Google Maps. That mapping is not compatible with the Sync4 OEM navigation Maps by Here Technologies. I have another iphone with older FP ver 4.3.1.
It had trip planning, so I was pleased I did not update to ver5. Sadly only to discover yesterday that the ‘tripping planning’ tile has been removed, and approving Google Maps is required. Like Alexa, I’m afraid it appears that it’s all geared about selling our data.
Also now in Sync4a in car navigation. My Ford Pass Trips (tm) saved trips are gone, and no way to (+) any more.
This feature is so important for accurate trip planning in advance with charge stops to be sent to vehicle. Only charge stops selected in OEM navigation will allow the new preconditioning feature to start 20 miles out.
It doesn’t happen with Apple or, Google Maps, or any other 3rd party navigations software.

Just updated to 5.4.0 and, for the first time ever, my app shows “Vehicle is on” when it is not. Literally introduced the bug for the MME in the release intended to fix the bug. This is just babytown frolics at Ford these days.

Since this update my app and/or vehicle are not respecting the charging times I set for when I’m at home. I make it so that weekday charges begin at 11:00pm, however as soon as I plugged in the charger the charging was going on and off and on and off. And in FordPass it would say waiting to start at 10:25 PM (or whatever language it uses) and then at 10:25 it would change to 10:26. Rinse repeat.

If you were on the old version still on iOS before the revamp, it’s now forcing you to upgrade. ?

Doesn’t seem to be a way to put it off any longer.

I was still using the old app on my phone as you could still pull down to refresh the location.
You can’t in the new app and the location hardly ever updates.

Update: I don't know if you found a resolution. I still have ECG-24.2.4.9, but my problem has cleared. I reported the issue on the "FDRS" mega-thread, and learned that my car reported a date from the year 2000 in an interaction with Ford about updates. We don't know if that caused the trouble, but I found and re-set the time auto update function (even though the date and day of week were showing correctly on screen) and my problem is gone. I hope that helps.

Crazy. I still have had the same issues until today. Today I needed to make a longer trip and so last night I charged up to 100%. As soon as it was done, I got a notification and everything started working like normal.

One thing I've found particularly frustrating with the FordPass app is modifying charging schedules. Sometimes I'll modify a schedule and the app will still report the original scheduled times after I changed them... unless I change them two or three more times and eventually the time displayed will change. The other annoyance is with the one-time charge functionality. I can start a one-time charge from the vehicle tab, but it will always be to 100%. If I then go to the Energy tab, the screen will tell me I can change the target charge from 100%... but everytime I've tried to change it to 80%, it's stopped the one-time charge session, presumably going back to the scheduled times. My current procedure for doing a one-time charge is to enable it to 100% and then manually stop it when it gets to 80%, which is not great.

I'm having difficulties with getting it to recognize my home charger (it used to), and then stopping at 90%.

Is it just me or is the Ford app the only one that gets worse over time? I can’t believe we STILL can’t plan trips in the app. It is such a PITA to do it in the car. Also, the lack of settings for configuring your charge preferences on a long trip is infuriating. I feel like the nav is working against me most of the time.

What kills me is the LincolnWay app is exactly the same as the Old FordPass app, and works great!
