I had a nissan rogue for three years and I really enjoyed that vehicle. It was one of the most comfortable seats I've ever sat in (zero G seating I think they called it). I had just owned a Ford F-150, which crushed my back on long drives and downgraded in terms of size and upgraded for fuel efficiency. I test drove probably four vehicles in this class of vehicle, and the Rogue was by far the most comfortable and was impressed with the technology for the value. I thought it far exceeded all I was looking at during that time. I would have strongly considered the Ariya if it was available in the timeline I need. I think the vehicle looks a little bulky but very nice finishes in the interior.
I have one now. If it wasnt for the crappy paint i would have probably kept it. I also had a Murano, it was better than the Rogue. From what I read abot the MME, I think I'll be happy switching. We'll see 6yrs from now when I switch car number 2 what I'll get maybe a an E-Mustang, or a Nissan E-Gtr

The little bit I've seen about the current generation Sentra is that it's much better than the outgoing generation, which I mention because it suggests Nissan is moving in the right direction with their vehicles. But time will tell.

I'm impressed. The sliding center console and the mobile office are a nice touch. I dislike Nissan, however this is a solid EV offering and if the MachE didn't exist I'd seriously consider this. I like it more than the ID4.

Nissan North America has confirmed that the Ariya electric crossover won’t arrive in the U.S. until early 2022.
The confirmation arrived Thursday night, shortly after the company confirmed the start of pre-orders for the Nissan Ariya electric vehicle in its home market of Japan, along with some basics on features and specs for the limited-edition versions set to arrive there first.

A U.S. Nissan spokesperson issued the following statement to Green Car Reports: “Nissan is facing various industry challenges, including the semiconductor shortage. Our priority is to ensure that we deliver the all-new, all-electric Nissan Ariya to customers with the highest level of quality and care. To that end, we have delayed the start of sales of Ariya, which will now be available in the U.S. starting in 2022 with reservations beginning later this year.”
The first deliveries for the Ariya were originally due in Japan by mid-year 2021, so the EV, Nissan’s second mass-market fully electric vehicle after the Leaf, is clearly running behind schedule.

Nissan Ariya

Nissan has emphasized that the Ariya is being tuned differently for each global market, so we don’t dive into Japanese specs quite yet. But Nissan has assured us that the U.S. version will start around $40,000 for models with the smaller (63-kwh usable) battery pack. Models equipped with the larger (87-kwh usable) pack will be capable of up to 300 miles of range in some versions.
That means for many U.S. households who can claim the $7,500 federal EV tax credit, the Ariya is likely to effectively start at less than $34,000.

Nissan Ariya
Nissan wouldn’t confirm if the Ariya will arrive with the same limited-edition treatment it’s being given for Japan, or with the badging of Ariya B6 for the 63-kwh model and B9 for the 87-kwh version.
The 2022 Nissan Ariya, which was shown last July in production-bound form, will come in single-motor front-wheel drive and dual-motor all-wheel drive version. We’re especially looking forward to the AWD versions with the new e-4ORCE system we drove in a Leaf mule last year, which allows the dual-motor drive system to provide more than added traction.

Nissan Ariya

Seen as a tech flagship for Nissan, the Ariya will mark the debut of the most advanced version of the Pro Pilot 2 driver-assistance suite. The platform is a new global one for EVs, the battery packs are liquid-cooled, and fast-charging ranges up to about 137 kw. Nissan has announced a switch, starting with this vehicle, to the CCS charging standard.
Other features to look forward to in the Ariya include a reconceived “magic-carpet” interior, with a completely flat floor throughout the cabin, and a single-piece interface that integrates two screens at different distances, allowing the driver’s eyes to smoothly pan from side to side.
Expect more details about the the U.S. version of the Ariya around the time reservations start later in the year.

Nissan build quality, paint and interior materials are some of the worst in the industry...I would stay away from this as there are better built options out there including Mach E, Tesla, ID4, Ioniq etc.

Looking forward to when they leverage this platform at Infiniti. Absolutely loved my FX35, well except for the total PoS dash material, but turned into the perfect car for my son to take to college, so all is good. If Infiniti can got even remotely close to the FX lineage, with north of 300 miles of range, I think it would be a tough to keep the E350.

Did you have the dash replaced under the service bulletin? I did quite a few of those. Not a good time. ;)

Sadly I did not. At the time, I bought the car used from Carmax while living in northern NM. Because I lived over an hour from the nearest Infiniti dealership, it never got into their system, and I was completely oblivious of the option to do this until after it expired, and given the level of effort to do it, never even considered trying it myself. From what I read, folks who did replace the dash, had less than satsfying experiences, as the bubbles appeared on the replacements as well. This last Christmas I found a company in TX that makes a dash overlay that you just glue down over the top of the bad dash. I bought one for my son to put on. It doesn't look the greatest, partly due to the installer and his grandfather sidekick, but it massively improved driving visibility. The shiny black bubbles of the original dash are highly reflective which then cast a very distracting visual field on the windscreen, particularl on a sunny day.

Pre reviews hinted that Nissan built an incredibly efficient EV (they designed highly efficient inverters and motors) and I think they just bested Tesla. Those kWh per 100 Km numbers are insane in this review.

This thing is a dog 0-60. Interior looks nice. Range is good, but I kinda dislike the look.

The other review got only 2.3 miles/kwh during 70mph highway driving which is as bad as the MME GT and it has significantly less power. The review also says that max DCFC speed is 130kw which is really slow for a newly developed EV.

Around 14:50 in this video

Bjorn got 3.45 mi/kWh traveling 97 km/h on average (so 60mph) that’s 348 mile range with the 87 kWh pack at 60mph.

The Mach-E is a fun car but not efficient because of the dual permanent magnet motors - it’s built like an EV muscle car.
