I started up my MME this morning, and the audio doesn't work at all.. radio, bluetooth, Android auto, none of it. The sound settings menu doesn't seem to work either. It pushes my balance/fade to one corner, and the other options don't respond to clicks. It worked yesterday before charging, and I picked up an OTA over night.

Thanks. I just tried the master reset, no help. I'll start these other procedures as soon as I get home.

I did find that if I put my phone in the charging tray, the speakers on it were loud enough to be heard ok in a car as quiet as a Mach-E.

Same for me. I just called the wife on speakerphone, and listened to Audible. No issues, and I didn't even need to max out the volume.

Have you tried to reboot by holding “Volume down” + “Next” buttons on the steering wheel?

Rebooting the screen doesn’t seem to help with this issue in most cases. I was lucky in that disconnecting the low voltage battery for 20 minutes did the trick for me when this happened to the Smurfmobile.

Even if you disconnect the low voltage battery and it fixes it, it would still take it to the dealer and ask to get the SSM linked above to update the DSP.

You might have the same issue later on until that update is done. Mine, as well as others got the update and has been problem free since.

Disconnecting the battery for a few minutes worked. And I agree about taking it in to have the module flashed, but at least I can now schedule at our convenience.

Our audio died last night and rebooting the SYNC system wasn't enough.
Read about pulling the amplifier fuse.
Found an easier way. Made a video of that, over here:

How to Power-Cycle MME Electronics via Frunk Fuse "Hack" (e.g. reset non-working audio/amplifier).
