On Friday, our 2025 Mach-E was delivered to the dealer and we picked it up on Saturday. Once we got home, I looked in the glove compartment and it was empty. Then I realized I didn't even have the card with door unlocking code. I contacted the salesman and he said he's pretty sure he knows where the card is, but isn't aware of any other documentation that comes with the car beyond what's provided by the finance person. It's not my first Mach-E but it is my first one without any tire warranty information, a SiriusXM brochure, and other things.

So, my question is whether or not my experience is correct for the 2025 model or is there supposed to be an information packet and the salesman knows even less than he thinks he does?

I also only received one key fob. He said that happens on new deliveries sometimes and if I come back on Monday, they'll provide the 2nd fob. I try to give people the benefit of the doubt.

Our has a supplementary owners manual, and they stuck the window sticker in there too, but that’s about it.

EDIT note that the owner manual is available in the car from the main screen and online. And information about SiriusXM should be online too, I don’t use it so I haven’t checked.

Thank you. That confirms there is documentation that is missing. My 2022 also included the supplementary owner's manual along with a few other booklets. I did receive the window sticker and the dealer's add-on price list, laminated side-by-side with film way too thick to be fold. Nice souvenir but I can't file it away.

Also Ron, if you are wanting the 2025 Mach-E full Owners Manual (400+ pages) that does not come with the car, it is available for $58...
Thanks Mark. I've been using the online manual since buying a 2021 and then a 2022 Mach-E, and that's been good enough. My concern here is that because there is documentation that I know should have been included with the car, is there other important documentation missing that I'm not aware of? It was obvious during the process that I was dealing with a green salesman, someone who hadn't yet learned that his opinions aren't relevant when specific information is being sought.

The key code card came with the literature for my car. Perhaps he will find it when he finds the card and the second fob

Thanks. After I inquired, he texted a picture of the key card and it appeared to be in some kind of packaging, which may be exactly what you're talking about. He also said that he was "working on locating" the other fob, whatever that means.

Our new 2025 Premium picked up on Oct 25, 2025 was delivered with the Supplemental Owners Guide, two keys ( one with a laminated card with the keyless entry code), Sirius XM info, window sticker (folded), some factory labels with the VIN, a dealer provided folder to keep everything in with the salesman ‘s card plus a keychain with the dealer logo. There was also two fold out instruction cards (multi-languages) and picture instruction with the mobile charger cord and NACS adapter option. I attached a picture with all this except the window sticker.which I keep with the sales and financing paperwork in our house.

Do not keep the code card in the vehicle, set one you can remember.

Read thel big blue card thoroughly.

Ron, thank you so much for taking the time to post the comprehensive reply. That is exactly what I was hoping to learn. Now I have evidence that confirms my suspicion was correct. I really appreciate it!

Good point on not keeping the keyless code with the key or in the car. I think we reset our own code when we picked it up one month ago but need to double check as we have had no reason to use it so far.

Yeah, that advice about not keeping the door code card in the car can't be repeated enough. Literally the last place you want to keep it. And set your own so it's something you'll remember.

Just so you know you can’t “reset“ the code that is on that card. It is a factory code that can’t be removed(I wish it could but you can’t remove it).

When you put in a code that is an additional code that can be used.

Given that I can’t remove that factory code what I do is just carry the card in my wallet. I guess I could memorize it and leave it at home but I’m lazy.

Open phone's contacts.
Setup contact for car.
Put code in contact's info...

Oh BTW whereas I agree leaving the code card in the car is a bad idea that is just because you wouldn’t be able to use it. If it is in the glove box it is useless to a thief. Its only purpose is to get into the car, which they would have had to have already done to look in the glove box.

BTW when I turned in my 2024 I forgot the code card in my wallet and noticed it when got home. We brought it the next day. They thanked us but said it wasn’t a big deal they could easily replace it. Which tells me that they can get the code from the factory or some list. Not something that makes me feel secure.

On the extra stuff that @robi posted I sort of remember some of that but I think we just threw it out.
