Ford Mustang Mach e AWD Premium
Hi all,

For info...
I received my Mach e 2025 premium AWD here in Belgium, two months ago. Since last week, impossible to get the correct position of the car (question mark on the gps cursor), or communicate with the car via the app or the website.
Ford dealer tried to reset (soft and hard) but nothing changed. Yesterday, call received: "the modem must be changed".
Apparently I'm not the only one with this failure. It looks incredibly awkward to me that so many modems are out of order.
Luckily, leasing car, i'll never pay for this (and it's under warranty). But anyway... I hope the replacement will be for good!

I'm just wondering... And if the solution was to remove a simple fuse (or battery connection) ? I read somewhere. But once again, leasing car, i'm not supposed to touch that. And if the Ford dealer doesn't want to look too far, or doesn't know that this simple action can solve the entire problem, there will still be a lot of replacements...

Have a nice day!

If the vehicle was not made for the market, the modem will not work. Or, they installed modems for another market by mistake, or the modem is simply bad. Yes, restarting the modem by pulling a fuse is a possible solution. No reason you can't do that on a lease.

One would hope the dealer tried it, but the fuse in question is inside, at the foot of the passenger footwell (I'll add the conditional "in the US" because I don't know what side of the car your passenger side is, and I don't know if the fusebox location changes"). Fuses 19 and 11, when pulled and reinserted, would reset the telematics.
Again, I'm not in Belgium, but I find it hard to believe "you aren't supposed to touch fuses"

No harm will come from disconnecting the 12v battery for 20 minutes to force a hard reset of everything. It may not fix anything, but it won't hurt anything to try it.
