If that’s the one that “fixed” radio presets last August, you probably have the same issue I do.

My last OTA was August 7.

I tried everything the forum suggests. Had the dealer manually update everything the first week of January……. Still no updates.

This is what someone who pulled my VIN said-

“You have a "-LKB" revision of the gateway module software. That, I believe, is what's keeping further updates from becoming available for your car. I'm pretty confident that is what's keeping you from getting further updates. Updates for the gateway (GWM) went from the -LKB that you have to -LKC, and then to PAE. And in between GWM updates other software updates were made available for Sync and the TCU and things like the IPC, etc.”

Basically it’s something that Ford has to fix on their end and the dealer can’t do anything. So I’m still waiting.
Same boat. Last update was Aug 18th, for the radio update.
No service bulletin on this yet I assume? I will probably call and open a case

Doesn’t seem to be. Service bulletins are for dealerships to fix stuff.

As far as I know, the dealership can’t fix it.

Been there did that with 1.7.1 and it continues. Appears to me everyone is a beta tester. Release something it causes major problems and then shut it down. Correct and repeat. Leaving some behind forever. You would think after 3 years you would see some improvement but nope.
My only gripe with all the Sync 4 stuff is the 1.7.1 clusterfudge. Everything else eventually righted or will right itself. I find 1 -3 unfortunate souls a week stuck on that software. My job 1 truck somehow made it past it on it's own and got stuck on the 2.7.x IPC updates. Which is what got me into all of this to begin with.

I bought a 22 dealer demo in November. I have had this screen ever since. Had it at a different dealer twice (closer to home) and they said there is no update for my vehicle and when one is available it will be sent. They claim that was what Ford told them. This update says it failed. Where do I find what update I’m currently on?

Someone can pull your VIN.

Likely this means the dealer did updates manually (their updates can update all available modules, but they aren’t coded the same as the OTA updates).

But no OTA for the last 6 months may mean you’re stuck as well.

Either way, go to the FDRS VIN thread and post your ViN there.

I'm still at 4.2.2. My vehicle was manufactured in August of 2022. I bought it used last year at the end of September. I received 1 update the week I purchased the vehicle and have not had a single update since. I've been told if the GWM was updated that would open things up for other updates, but when I had it at the dealer a couple of weeks back they said there wasn't anything they could do about that.

From what I’ve heard- yes. But it involves Ford corporate doing something manual on the back end to fix the server side issue.

Haven’t seen an update from anyone here actually getting that fix yet though unfortunately.

I am in the same boat. My last update to my 2022 premium extended range all wheel drive was in August 2023. Build date was March 2022. Also has models updated at dealer 3 weeks ago. Yesterday I called Ford to a case line I found somewhere and spoke with a technician who stepped me through a reset of my system. I believe the goal was to reboot the AT&T modem. That phone number is 833-389-0848. That is a Ford help line. The contact told me that he helped others with this issue. It was only yesterday that I did this. No update yet but I suspect this may help.

What steps did they have you do exactly? Describe in as much detail as you remember.

I am not confident of the sequence but here goes.
Remove car from FordPass.
Get in car and start.
Go to settings and close all privacy and feature settings in Connected Vehicle Features.
Turn off Vehicle Connectivity.
Go to General screen, Reset, then reset all or factory reset (not sure of which).
We then allowed the system time to reset and reload.
He had me reset my reoccurring update schedule. He said the 1:00am and all days was best to use.
Had to re-establish PAAK. Actually seems to be more responsive but the could be luck of the draw.
The contact was working from a computer screen, I could and I asked him about that. He services all Ford cars. But did confirm to me that this would clear some issues. He had done this numerous times.
That’s the best I can recall. I’m doing this in my car now while typing hoping to recall all things and in proper order.

They made me do all that in November. They said it should restart my updates in a few weeks.

It did nothing.

The people who pulled my VIN can see exactly which module is wrong. It has nothing to do with anything on my car.

It’s a server side issue. Ford has to fix it.

It’s frustrating they know about it and haven’t fixed it yet.

I haven’t opened it up yet, but I finally have gotten my first update of any kind since March on my iPhone for FordPass. Still nothing on the car but least FordPass updated so let me see how that works now.

Not sure what it fixed, but it was only 4.3 big fix, so I guess it didn’t update to a newer version? But at least, since I enable the PAAK it does do everything it’s supposed to open the windows lock the doors open the front trunk. Opening up the front trunk with the handle inside the car and doing it through the app, the app that is scary sound opening up that thing, really makes some noise. Sounds powerful lol
