10 years from now, I will still not consider my Mach-E a Mustang. I will, on the other hand, consider my EV Mustang coupe a Mustang. Hope this clears that up for you.

Changing the lights on the corvette isn’t even in the same area code as changing the vehicle classification. They moved the mustang to a completely different market segment.
what they did was far closer to if Porsche had called the Panamera (or the Taycan for that matter) a 911.
