Looking to get an obd2 scanner that would be able to clear front camera fault and adaptive cruise control unavailable codes. This seems to be a common issue. I brought the car to the dealership but I was outside of the warranty and they wanted an arm and a leg to replace the coaxial cable for the front camera to the ipma. I’ve replaced the cable but the codes are still showing. But I am not sure what scanner would work to get this done. Any suggestions? Thanks in advance!

I've been using this one for almost 18 months without an issue. I assume it's one of many OBDII bluetooth adapters that will work.

Yup. So long as it can read DTCs it can clear them. Alternatively they could get an OBDLink EX and download Forscan. That can read and clear codes and do a few other neat things like enabling the power meter for non-GT variants!

Sorry, good point. I was assuming using FORScan.

You can try disconnecting the 12V battery for 10 minutes to reset everything as well. 10mm socket is all you need.

I have tried that. I was unsuccessful in having it work. But I only had it unplugged for about 5 min. Do you think leaving it unplugged for longer will help?

Meh, maybe. But if you are still have errors popping up, you might still have a hardware problem with the camera. I'm just warning you that I don't think clearing the codes is going to fix it, because most things reset each time you start the car.

You could always just leave the historic codes there as they’re doing no harm??‍♂ I always have DTCs when I scan which are historic or intermittent and don’t bother about the.

So I’ve purchased this scanner but I can not seem to get it to connect to forscan lite. Are you using something other than forscan lite?

for people NOT getting FORSCAN,
I am a big fan of ODB2+CarScanner app to create missing instrument displays you wish you had, view codes, clear codes, etc. I have been happy w the Viecar ODB2... try searching threads on specifics....
