any one with insight of how to connect. I followed the instructions and what others have said online and l got was the red light but would not connect.
Most of the apps wont auto-connect to the OBD dongle. Go into your phone's Bluetooth settings, find the ODB scanner, tap it, and tell it to 'connect' to that device. THEN go into whatever app you want to use and it should find it.
been there done that but thanks. I may just have an amazon recirculated device that was returned. I got the icar and downloaded car scanner because others on the forum had good luck with them.
My OBD MX+ adapter has a button you must push to pair, and then find on your device within Bluetooth menu. after I have this connection, I open car scanner pro, & hit connect….. In my case, the car must be on before you plug in the adapter……. Bill
Thank you, in the instructions from icar they just say that just the ignition should be on. There is nothing to push on the icar as it is supposed to start searching as soon as you plug it in

iPhone or android?
sorry forgot to mention which one. It is android. It seemed as if it icar finally paired with s21 android but then it just would not connect with car scanner. I was going to try and use torque pro but I could not find out how to set up for ev. thanks
I’m on an iphone. Hopefully someone with an android can chime in.
