I have a 2021 Mach-E FE. The OBDLink Scan showed a 10% degrade. Is this reasonable for a 4 year old EV? Does the ambient temperature at the time of the scan affect my degrade reading. Should the car be at 100% charge before doing the scan? Should the car be recently driven before the scan?

I would say 90% health is normal for a 2021. The state of health parameter updates on its own and can be read at any time (doesn't have to be at 100%).

You can try a battery calibration if you want to try to improve the accuracy of the number: https://www.macheforum.com/site/threads/hv-battery-calibration-procedure.23815/

Thanks Everyone. I did find the thread mentioned above and all my questions have been answered completely. I will calibrate once the weather warms up. Also I have a 2025 Mach-E on order with a 4/14 build date.

I bought my RWD 23.75 as new in November. Less than 3 months and 4000km later it’s down to 93% SoH, does that seem a little steep to you?

yes, I would expect >95% for a 1.5 year-old vehicle. Try doing the battery calibration a couple times. Battery is probably fine, and just an error in measurement.

I have a '22 GT with just over 11,000 miles. I have had the car for 33 months, mostly L2 charging between 30 and 70 percent, just a handful of charges to 100%, and DCFC charging only 5-6 times. No problems at all and I love the car.

I checked the HVB SOH 2 weeks ago and it was 89%. I just completed the BMS calibration procedure and the SOH is now 88%. Car Scanner did say there was 84.3 kWh in the HVB at 100%, or 92.6% of the initial 91 kWh. On the bright side, if 88% is correct and degradation continues at this rate, I will be below 70% before the 8 year warranty runs out and will be in line for a new HVB.
