It could also be that you talked to the wrong salesperson at the dealer. I witnessed a salesperson giving out completely wrong order time estimate for Bronco and MME when I was waiting for my contract at the dealer. However, my salesperson, who is responsible for Bronco and MME sales at the dealership, gives out right expectations when I brought that up.So your dealer is new to the Mach-E then?
Back to your original question, @WillysStang. I think 6 months is the best estimate we have at the moment from order to delivery. However, the delivery timeline can be affected by factors like how Ford intend to ramp up Europe delivery and GT trim, so no one can be sure. If I want my MME delivered in September/October, I would put in an order now.
You will have a very good idea of when your Mach E will be delivered once you receive your build date. (You should get it 1-2 months before build date. You delivery will happen 6-8 weeks after build.) At that point, you'll know whether yours will be on time, and whether you need to look for abandoned orders.
I wouldn't look for abandoned orders now. There's no point if you won't take delivery take September.
Also, in 4 months, there should be a lot of FCTP vehicles (demo cars) for sale. Each dealership should have 1 or 2 MME demo cars. The dealers can (and will) sell them once they reach 4 months or 4000 miles.
