Ordered April 8, 2021, still no production date. At this point I'm pretty certain I'll be buying something off the lot (not necessarily a Mach e) sometime in 2022, I've pretty much given up on this order.

Tyler,

Welcome aboard. And hello from the NoVA area. Just ate at Glory Days last night (best hot wings).

Yes, waiting is the most agonizing part.

Hopefully its not too much longer for you.

Once it arrives you will be having a great time enjoying your car.

Lets meet up sometime at a local watering hole.

Later,

BK2EV

I live in northern VA and ordered my AWD extended range premium mach e on 7/12/2020 and have 0 updates from Ford on delivery or production (besides the swap from 21 to 22 MY). I'm DYING waiting for an update.

I'm sure I'm not alone here. Right? Are others in the same boat? I had the option back in July of buying a test driven model from Missouri for MSRP but figured I could manage to wait for a brand new one in the color I wanted. Trying to not regret that decision is getting harder each week.

Please help console my aching heart lol
I’m with you here in Los Angeles. Ordered a standard range Premium on 8/18 and besides dealer confirmation and “order received from dealer”, it’s been crickets. I believe it said in the “order received” e-mailthat the Premiums have some hand built parts and that can contribute to a longer delay in building them. Essentially they don’t schedule for production until all the parts are on hand. Sigh. Been tempted to ask my dealer if switching the order to a California Route 1 or a base model will speed things up, but then I decide to try to extend my patience. Good luck to you! I hope to read yours got scheduled for production soon!

Just curious if you spoke to anyone at the dealership? Since you're in CA, I wonder if a dealer only gets "so many" cars, even in EV states and they prioritize their own orders based on a list they manage as well.

If they don't know who you are, you go further back in line? I'm totally guessing here.

First of all, the state motto here in California is, ”If we don’t know who you are, you go further back in line.”

I haven’t spoken to my dealer yet. I was curious today, so I did a “check inventory” in my area and there are 23 Mach E’s available as of today within about 30 miles of my home. I think 3 were Premium’s and there was 1 Route 1 and two GT’s. The rest selects. So basically, one way or the other, I could have a Mach E in the LA metro area tomorrow. It just can’t be the one I ordered.

What dealership did you order with in LA? And I assume you ordered 8/18/20? And not 8/18/21?

It’ll also likely have a very significant markup

My original delivery date of 11/21-11/27 changed on 12/3. The car is 29 mi from my dealer on ‘quality hold.’
I had mine on order since 6/23 it arrrived finally at off site place in Houston sat for 30 days in November. They deliveries to dealer and ford instructed them to to send to ford for wind shield and glass roof replacement. Wonder what else. I cancelled my order in fear that there is something else wrong and local service can not handle the repairs.

Yeah, I ordered after you and I had the whole reserved, ordered, build scheduled already so yes, I think it's a never contact dealer thing and to them, you're not "serious" (just IMO).

Honestly, I wouldn't "risk" getting some random ADM/issue after a 6-8 month wait and would get everything in writing earlier rather than later. I've had multiple contacts with my sales rep/dealer and maybe that's why I don't have an issue. It could be the dealer is simply nicer/better, but like you believe, they don't know you so they rather sell to someone they know exist.

Good advice. Thanks!

Sunrise Ford In North Hollywood. I ordered 8/18/21. If it had been 2020, I’d be in a different car by now. Not a very patient person.

Okay.
I heard sunrise is the number 2 dealer in LA in terms of allocation, I'm surprised you don't have a build date yet. I'd really ask the dealership for some info especially yours as a SR model there should be a build week assignment. Are you a MY22? Or MY21
