Well setting aside the gateway module for a second...all the things you describe are normally handled by the IPMA which is supposed to get a camera re-alignment after the windshield is replaced. And I just checked your work history and that procedure was never done. If your service writer says it was ask them to show you where in the work history. Cause I can't find it anywhere.Still no OTA update for me. The gateway module has not come in yet and this is what I got from my ford service advisor.
“My parts guy called the vendor. They have these parts, but Ford has to provide them with programming for them and what they have is corrupt. Appearently this has been a known issue with this component and programming since Novemeber of 21. There isn't any estimates for shipment at this time.”
I guess now we will be looking at what our options are for a car that they can apparently not fix.
Since I got it back May 27 from having the windshield/roof recall done. My pre collision assist is not working, front camera fault, lane assist not working, no cruise control. My husband finally got ahold of Ford and got a case number.
Anyone have any suggestions?
This means the tech has to take his laptop in your car and run the alignment while the car is on a road with lines and hold the car steady in a straight line until it says it's done.
Also, the only software update you have pending right now is the Body Controller Module (BCM).
I would reengage vigorously and thoroughly to get your IPMA camera re-alignment done.
On the GWM you're waiting for...if you've ever played the game "telephone", that's what it's like when the service writer gets info from the parts guy who got the latest fairy tale from the distribution center who swears they saw Ferris pass out at 31 Flavors last night, and that "I guess it's pretty serious"... I take all that with a very healthy dose of skepticism.
