Count me in the group whose hatch opens fine with kick, but not so much with closing.

Count me in the group where kick to open works maybe 1 time in 20. FOB or PAAK, it’s pretty much worthless to me. Kick to close? That works less often than kick to open.

Also, there are stretches of days where it works fine, and other times where it just refuses to close with the kick. Shrug.

Unlike PaaK, I think it’s really there are days I kick in the right place and days I don’t.

I've experimented and I have had some luck. If the hatch is fully opened it won't work with the foot closure. Lowering by hand a couple of inches and setting that as the maximum height by holding in the left button until it beeps seems to have made it more reliable. It's worked every time since I did that.

For those familiar with The Rocky Horror Picture Show, there’s no need to do the Time Warp to open the rear hatch. A simple straight in and out kick works perfectly. Think Rockettes, but not nearly as high!

It definitely worked better for me when I was wearing my Rockette outfit.
