Hi you great experts 😊 This is a fantastic place to get information and learn more about Mach-E 👍

Does anyone have an E-mail address to contact the OTA Team directly. My dealer can't do anything regarding updates. I haven't received any OTA updates for a year now 🥴

Something must be wrong!

I have a 2022 model Premium edition AWD - Build in EU Germany. It rolled out from the dealer in summer 2023.

Here the same issue. it is a nice car love to drive it but somehow after redding several fora I got the feeling my car is not up to date the way it should be. if I check what updates the car should have received and knowing I only got to 4.212 I contacted
Ford.

Somehow they know that there is something not worki g the way it should but they refuse to Sent the car to a local dealer to manualy push the updates. When I asked why not ho to a dealer immediatly they stated that there woud be severe costs involved for me!!
I will give them a last chance but if nothing happens within a week I expert a proper "free of charge" solution from Ford.

If you buy a car that updates terughoudend ota, I expert to get ota's.

We agreed 8 weeks ago that "the colleges from the USA" would forward al power updates again.

Unfortunatly this, was the only update the car received. Today I called them again and again they will send the colleges in theUSA a message to try again to push updates.

I have the same issue. Ford says if your car is on a lower Sync version, OTA software update has been blocked. They say they are working on it but there is no timeline when it will be fixed. It is ridiculous.

Do you mean by lower sync version 4 versus 4a.

Mine is sync 4a (like all mme's) display shows :
Sync 4 softwareversie 23095_product
Revisie:807

Have no idea what it means

I am on the same Sync4 version and the same 4.2.1.2 PowerUp as you. Unfortunately, we are both caught by the pause that Ford put out back in June 2025. The story was that some cars were being broken by an update that went out, and so they stopped pushing all updates that would have put cars onto that broken update. Supposedly, it’s being resolved and then updates will flow again - but it’s at least six months now and no sign of it yet.

If you search Google for “ssm 53966”, you can read the bulletin telling Ford dealers that the software updates have been removed entirely, so they no longer show up for cars running a version of Sync older than Revision 23187.

Nothing anyone can do. If a dealer plugs their computer in, they will see ‘no updates’, and can’t get past it either. Very frustrating.

So what I got out of your code ssm53966, is that Ford jyst shut off updates from our mme's.
Reason is not clear to me.

But what does this to the values of these Cars when we want to sell.

I am buying or selling a car that doesn't do what Ford says it could ford. This feature (ota) was for me (one of) the main reasons why I bought it.

Hi
Do You know what happened to the cars (that broke down) ?
Curious because my car started behaving strange after an update but my dealer says there's nothing they can do about it, so I would like to know if Ford knows about it.

No, not exactly. I do know that this is a much wider issue than the Mach-E though - as mentioned earlier, if you google 'SSM 53966' you will see references to it across forums for a wide range of Ford vehicles. It would be better to see it as a Sync 4 issue, rather than a Mach-E one. This is probably why it's taking so long to resolve, too, as it has to be fixed and tested on lots of different cars.
