Here's costs I'm seeing in NorCal. I've gotten 3 quotes and they are all within a couple hundred dollar range. Not my MachE but one they just did. XPEL Ultimate Plus.

I've gotten 2 quotes for XPEL so far.

First quote was a new shop local to me. They are authorized for all of XPEL's products. They seem to the the only shop around here that is.

They quoted me the following:
Partial Front PPF (half hood and half front fenders) - $950
Full Front PPF - $1400
Xpel Ceramic Coating - $1100 (Includes prepwork and the ceramic coating of the paint and PPF, and all windows)
So Full Frontal PPF, and Ceramic coating the whole car - $2500

The 2nd shop quoted the following:
Full Front XPEL PPF - $2587
Crystal Syrum Ceramic Coating 5 year - 800
Crystal Syrum Ceramic 9 year - $1000

When I told him he was $1000 higher than the first shop, he came back and said he'd do the ceramic coating for free if I do the Xpel for $2500. But this shop wouldn't include the glass, or put ceramic coating on the PPF.

Did they do the headlights? So no fender flares? Mind if I ask what your total was? I want to do exactly the same.

I am in the XPEL shop this week as well, full PPF. Price depends on what you consider full as the XPEL for the MME is a set of templates that does not cover the entire MME. Pricing is about 5K to 6K. I added ceramic for the glass and ClearPlex for the windshield. If anyone is in NJ and looking for a great dealer / price send me a direct message.

It’s done! He will have to put back my Mach-E4X next week because he didnt had the right tape and his shop is having a full epoxy floor right now so cant access.

Looks good! How do you like the results?

I've also got a Space White ordered (build week 5/3) and was considering wrapping it. I've also toyed with the idea of plasti-dipping the Mach X emblem black.. I wonder how doing it before a PPF wrap might affect the finished product of the emblems. Would be nice if they can let me take them and plasti-dip the emblem when they remove them for the wrap.

I feel a blacked out emblem with some black rims and a dark-ish front window tint would look really slick on this car!

I got a quote for a PPF install locally and he mentioned something about having to take the logo off and reattach it or get a new one. I wasnt too happy to hear that since this is a brand new vehicle and spare parts may be hard to come by just yet. Can anyone confirm if the XPEL template has a cutout for the pony upfront ? Really curious if anyone heard otherwise.

Picked mine up today, full car XPEL. All panels with logos have cutouts, nothing had to be removed (although I had them remove the front license plate bracket and apply PPF underneath).
It looks freaking awesome. Hard to see the edge in many places without looking very closely.

Looks great. Mine is still in the shop and yes cutout around the pony ... he is only removing the mache text on the sides and license plate holders and putting them back on

This video was posted by the installer and it’s PPF in process but you can see the text on doors removed and license plate removed but not the logo

Confused. The 3M guy I use just does what I ask. He cleaned up the lousy dealer installed PPF on my Bolt w/o any template. He will install the MME 3M PPF sight unseen, no template, whatever I want.
Does the XPEL always require a template? No template = NO GO?

Templates make it easier for the installer but they can cut their own to size if they are good at it. So would not say it's a no go, but not sure why the installer wouldn't want to go that route.

What mil. are folks getting for the XPEL? I went 7 mil.

I’ve used 3M in the past and my detailer always used templates so 3M should have them for Mach E by now. Detailer doesn’t use 3M anymore, however, due to issues with warranty replacement and the fact that you can’t overlap ceramic coatings over film like you can with Xpel.
