Only 6 cars listed with my trip number, maybe they are waiting for a few more before they leave KC... They all say pending and when I looked up the other mach e on the tracker the ETA for that car is listed as 10/20.

As others have speculated / written, I believe that Palsapp will show when your car is on a truck from that company. It's clear that company takes cars off the mexico train from the factory and then delivers them somewhere else to be distributed to all areas of the US.

My understanding (and who knows, I'm no car logistics expert!) is that once the car is "delivered" to the other train yard, you then have no visibility once again -- unless you have a cooperative dealer with nothing else to do but read to you a VVR. Apparently a VVR does tell you where your car is precisely, down to the train car number and the last station it passed.

But customers are not provided that information by Ford directly, because this really hasn't been something lots of customers were interested in before they pre-sold 400,000 of their cars years in advance.

On palsapp search by VIN first and pull up TripNumber. Once you have TripNumber search again by Trip Number on palsapp, and see the number of cars that pull up. I have 9 cars show up on my Trip Number, and all 9 have the same status. "Delivered on Oct 02 2021" . Keeping fingers crossed that my car is on a train right now and making its way to Richmond, CA.

I had my dealer pull up VVR again, and it looks like my car has decided to take the scenic route home

Oh no! They're trucking it out to California? I'm going to control myself and not call the uncooperative guy at my dealer today. Don't want to harm my chances of having the more cooperative one tomorrow interrupt his blowing up the balloons on the used cars to press a button on the computer and read me the words off the screen.

Wasting time while waiting. Here is a map showing major railyards in KC. My guess is that the trains come into the UP yard and then cars are transferred to the Argentine Yard for shipments west, the Norfolk southern yard for trips east, etc.

Deliveries west could be by BNSF (Argentine yard), or Union Pacific (Armourdale yard which shows up as Muncie in palsapp.)

I believe Colorado cars are only shipped on BNSF and unloaded in Denver. It seems like SoCal cars are on Union Pacific and get unloaded in Mira Loma. I'm not sure about NorCal, both UP and BNSF have auto unloading facilities in the Bay Area. Both railroads also have facilities in Washington for PNW customers.

I am in SoCal and also had a delivery to the Muncie ramp on 10/2. Paired date was the afternoon of 10/3. Search by trip number shows 9 so I might be train/truck buddies with the others who have posted recently. If it can get here before the 28th I will be very happy.

I really want to call the dealer and request a VVR but the sales guy I am dealing with is not exactly the most engaging.

I think at the least, en route. I don't think Palsapp updates until the train hits the yard

Not necessarily. It could be on the train from Mexico to Kansas City, or even in Kansas City and waiting to be paired with a truck. My car got to KC on 9/29, but wasn't paired with a truck and assigned to a trip until the very day that Jack Cooper moved it from the KCS yard to the Union Pacific yard on 10/2.

Does anyone know once a car is paired how long it takes to actually leave KC? My car was paired yesterday. I live close enough that my car is coming to my local dealership by truck from KC. The original ETA listed is 10/7 and I am very curious if that is actually going to happen?

With how fast cars are moving now, and based on another forum member who received her car very soon after it showed up in palsapp, I think your delivery date is very possible. Just a guess, but I bet it comes! Hoping for you it does!!!

I live within a few hours of KC so palsapp shows that my car will be trucked by that company to my local dealership.

What does it mean when it populates for KS to Birmingham in the morning, and then now goes back to pending null Delaware. Does that mean it has left MO on the train to Delaware, or at least JC is done moving it around on the ramps?

But it showed Regina, SK, Canada as vehicle location and i was confused by that. Anyways Dealer pulled a VVR again this morning and here's what it shows. My car was has a BSNF railcar number now and last location on 10/04 was Argentine KS. Does anyone know if we can track a BSNF rail car ?
