But it showed Regina, SK, Canada as vehicle location and i was confused by that. Anyways Dealer pulled a VVR again this morning and here's what it shows. My car was has a BSNF railcar number now and last location on 10/04 was Argentine KS. Does anyone know if we can track a BSNF rail car ?

My dealer is next to In-N-Out. Think I'm going to go to the drive thru and pay them a visit at lunchtime..... I want a train car #

Not seeing a way to track a BNSF freight car like the poster mentioned.

On palsapp search by VIN first and pull up TripNumber. Once you have TripNumber search again by Trip Number on palsapp, and see the number of cars that pull up. I have 9 cars show up on my Trip Number, and all 9 have the same status. "Delivered on Oct 02 2021" . Keeping fingers crossed that my car is on a train right now and making its way to Richmond, CA.

My car is on the same trip# as your car. My car is going to Folsom, about an hour and a half from Richmond. Fingers crossed is an understatement, lol

You are probably right. That's only a 3 day trip for a truck so there's no way the train would beat it. Especially since it would have to be unloaded at the railyard and put on a truck once it got to CA anyway.

I called the CSX number below, gave them my BSNF rail car number and got a response back stating released by the customer, el mirage arizona, and something about a nov 9th date.

1. Call the CSX 1-800-235-2352
2. When prompted for location or weight, press "1" on your phone for location.
3. When prompted for the car initials, say BSNF (or whatever initials you have) then wait for the next prompt.
4. When prompted for the car number, say 907048 (or whatever your number is)
5. When prompted for next car say DONE.
6. That's it; enjoy your updated status report.

Nice. Were you able to get a railcar number from your dealer? Hopefully its in the same rail car too. Mine is BNSF301133

Okay! So plopping myself down at the dealer and *not leaving* without attention seemed to work to get them to not ignore me. There were literally like 6 salespeople sitting there doing literally nothing. 3 wanted to sell me a crappy used Fiesta it appeared. Anyhow, I had one of them investigate with the inventory manager, and he came back with a printout which I just told him I was taking.

So ..... I have a rail car and an actual location (the good news). The bad news is it seems my car took a little while to get going after waiting around for a train to take it from 9/28 to 10/3. It's still in Kansas at an "intermediate location"..... I'm now off to figure out how to track a BNSF rail car

Here's the actual VVR printout in case folks are curious what kind of info it shows. So silly I can't see some of this myself without having to waste my time with a dealer.

PS -- clearly there is a mistyped location or two in VVR where KS is printed as SK. I don't think any of these cars are going to Canada to get to places in the US....

I called 1-800-235-2352 for you, with your rail car number, and it said that you car arrived at Wellington, KS on Oct 5th. So it matches what you got in your VVR. You now have a way to track your car without having to plop yourself at the dealer again tomorrow
