that's a load of insane dealer bullcrap because they don't want to answer your question, they're too lazy. could you imagine running a dealership without knowing when cars will show up on your lot?

my dealer wouldn't help me much over the phone, so I just showed up there and asked them to find out where my car was right now. You're harder to ignore or lie to if you are in front of them.

the URL they need to go to from their dealer is www.vehiclevisibility.dealerconnection.com -- perhaps you could offer to type that into their computer if they continue to play dumb with you.
Ok, I have a clearance so I can't do it, but I'm gonna need someone to sniff the packets going into that website and try to capture a login. I need that information at my fingertips

Yeah all I know is that my car arrived in KC and was delivered there on the 11th. It would still need to go from there all the way to Oregon though. One dealer here said that is usually 7-10 days so it would arrive well before the "expected" ETA on Ford's order tracking.

Just ask your dealer for a Vehicle Visibility Report -- it tells the dealer where your car is. If they are super-nice, they'll give you the printout or tell you the railcar number and then you can not rely on them to figure out when your car is showing up.

Looks like your vehicle is being moved by truck to your dealer. So once it says delivered, your dealer now has your vehicle. Since it's "paired" its "planned." your next update would be "delivered."
so in other words its going dark again until i see it drive by me..(i work across the street from the dealer and see all the transport trucks drive by... ((i also work for the dealer))

Got their sales manager on the phone and asked them to go to that site. They said since I reserved an order they placed(and didn't build it myself) they cannot get the railcar info BUT they did at least send me confirmation that it left KC on rail on the 12th. So at least I know its not stuck in KC.

That is not true at all. They can see where any car is IIRC

Again that is total b.s. they are being creative in their lies to you.

Here is my VVR printout as an example of what they see. Look at the 5th line down for the rail car info. Up to you if you'd like to please ask them to text you a photo of their screen.

Yeah I asked for that screen, they said they only see that on cars customers order not on cars they ordered. I didn't really buy it but they clearly don't want to give me that info. A bit odd.

I do know their sales manager wanted this specific car for themselves but customers come first and I reserved it so they can't have it.

Here is what they sent me.

Sounds like you have to have your sales manager talk with the inventory manager ... I bet this isn't the VVR like they are able to get. No reason why my dealer is able to give me this and your dealer isn't.

Hopefully richmond by EOD!
We've hit Fresno as of 40 minutes ago, so I'm betting that will be the case by sometime overnight.

Add another Birmingham to your list headed out west. I’m in Utah.
And yet another! Mine just updated in Palsapp today...Birmingham, MO....and I'm in Aurora, Colorado (Denver)

I did the 'thing' with Palsapp to get the hidden info....So...I"ve read through all these posts, and I'm still unclear of what all this means? I looked up the dates on the epoch converter....but I'm confused as my car's destination is the Denver area....and it's on Norfolk Southern? Is that a thing?:

Dude … Oakland to Fresno is 3 hours driving time. Load up, go 101 south to 152 east to 99 south. Cut out the middleman and pick it up yourself. I’m sure it’ll be ok. ;)

Norfolk southern does a lot of transfer shipments. They’re probably bringing the train car to whatever transfer station will be picked up to go out west. They service the east coast but also down the Midwest line south of Chicago, almost straight down
